Paris Saint-Germain are planning a sensational move for Robert Lewandowski if Kylian Mbappe leaves the French capital.

French star Mbappe is highly expected to leave Les Parisiens when his contract expires next summer after being linked with a move to Real Madrid during the last window.

That has PSG looking for alternative options and Le10Sport are now reporting that Bayern Munich star Lewandowski could be their top target.

The Polish international, 33, is regarded as one of the best forwards in world football, scoring an incredible 48 goals in 40 appearances last season for the German giants.

Sky Sports reported during the last window that Lewandowski was seeking a "new challenge" after seven years at Bayern, and helping PSG lift their first-ever Champions League could be just that.

That said, the Polish international is contracted to the Bavarians until 2023 and could still extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.

A move to Paris proposes the exciting prospect of the prolific forward linking up with superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar — something which could yet sway his final decision.

Kalvin Phillips is said to be close to rejecting the advances of Manchester United by signing a new contract at Leeds.

The England international has again been linked with a move to Leeds’ bitter rivals, who were reported to have stepped up their interest.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add a defensive midfielder of Phillips’ ilk to his ranks after also being linked with England team-mate Declan Rice.

The Yorkshire side were said to be desperate to keep Phillips, with owner Andrea Radrizzani keen to offer improved terms to the 25-year-old before any official approach is made.

Now John Percy of the Telegraph is reporting that Phillips is "very close" to signing a new deal with his boyhood club.

The midfielder’s agent told Percy: "I can only see a positive outcome. Kalvin's desire is to stay at Leeds and there is a real willingness from all sides to make it happen."

The 25-year-old retained his place in the England squad for next week’s World Cup qualifiers after playing a starring role in the Three Lions’ run to the Euro 2020 final.
