Transfer Talk: United eye summer swoop for Napoli hotshot Osimhen

Manchester United are ready to splash the cash this summer to lure Victor Osimhen from Napoli. 

Yesterday's 7-0 humbling at Liverpool highlighted that United still have some way to go before they can be considered genuine title contenders. 

And despite the impressive form of Marcus Rashford, Erik ten Hag is keen to beef up his attacking options at the end of the season. 

Ten Hag, who led the Red Devils to Carabao Cup success last month, has his sights set firmly on red-hot Osimhen, 24. 

According to multiple sources, the Old Trafford hierarchy will sanction an eye-watering bid for the Nigerian sensation, who has netted 19 goals in 21 Serie A appearances so far this term. 

Tammy's the Man

While Osimhen is reportedly Manchester United's No1 target, Roma striker Tammy Abraham has also caught their eye. 

The England international, 25, left boyhood club Chelsea in August 2021 in search of regular football.

He netted 17 goals in 37 appearances in his first season in Serie A but has weighed in with just six in 25 for Jose Mourinho's side so far this season. 

That will not deter United, according to The Athletic, but they may miss out as Chelsea are said to have first refusal on the forward courtesy of a buyback clause.
