Manchester United are keen to complete a deal for Sofyan Amrabat on deadline day, sparking a central midfield merry-go-round.

The Mirror report that Erik ten Hag wants to pick up the Moroccan international on an initial loan deal from Serie A side Fiorentina.

Finalising that signing could allow Scott McTominay to move south to Fulham.

McTominay had initially been linked with Bayern Munich but they now have their eyes set on the Cottagers' main man Joao Palhinha.

Sky Sport Germany report that Palhinha has agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga champions and is pushing for the clubs to agree a deal that would see him move to the Allianz Arena.

The Portugal international was one of the best players in his position in the Premier League last season and scored the equaliser as Marco Silva's men drew 2-2 at Arsenal last weekend.

As an alternative to McTominay, Fulham have made a move for Amrabat themselves, according to transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio.

A third potential Palhinha replacement for the West Londoners is Tottenham's No5 Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, say The Evening Standard.

That move would give Spurs a shot at signing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea in what looks set to be a frenzied final day of the window.
