German giants Bayern Munich are considering a move for Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson this summer.

Alphonso Davies has yet to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga champions with just over a year left on his contract, as Real Madrid wait in the wings to snap up the Canada international.

Reports suggest the LaLiga leaders have reached a verbal agreement with the 23-year-old and are happy to sign him for a fee this summer or wait until he is a free agent next year.

The Daily Mail believe Bayern are resigned to losing their star defender and are sounding out Robertson to replace him.

Robertson, 29, made the switch from Hull to Merseyside in 2017 for just £8million and has proved to be a bargain buy for Jurgen Klopp's Reds.

In his seven-year stint at Anfield, Scotland's captain has won it all, including the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

He was a key player in Sunday's Carabao Cup triumph over Chelsea and holds the record — alongside team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold — for the most assists in Premier League history by a defender with 58.

With two years left on his deal, Robertson remains settled in England but interest from Bayern may turn his head as he enters the latter stages of his career.

Spanish sources indicate Barcelona may consider a move for ex-Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, who is currently a free agent.

Liverpool are interested in Porto and Argentina midfielder Alan Varela, say The Mirror.

The Daily Mail believe Arsenal's desperation to sign a new striker comes from doubts over Gabriel Jesus' ability to stay fit, with Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen their two top targets to replace the Brazilian.
