- Swansea are winless in their last four Championship matches

Both Swansea and Huddersfield have endured testing Championship seasons so far and little separates the sides prior to Saturday's meeting in Wales.

Huddersfield have taken 19 points from 18 games in the second tier but have shown signs of progress under Darren Moore recently, whereas the Swans are without a win in their last four matches and pressure is mounting on manager Michael Duff.

They are only one point ahead of the Terriers on 20 points and find themselves closer to the drop zone than the playoff positions.

Team news

Harrison Ashby, Mykola Kukharevych, Josh Ginnelly, Nathan Wood and Joe Allen are among the players missing for the Swans.

As for the Terriers, Danny Ward is likely to be left out as he has only just made his return from a long-term injury. Kyle Hudlin, Ben Wiles, Josh Ruffels, Lee Nicholls and Jack Rudoni are sidelined for the visitors.

The stats

Swansea have failed to win seven of their nine home assignments in the Championship this season and four of their five draws in the league have come on their own patch.

These clubs have drawn a combined 12 league fixtures this season with Huddersfield having drawn two matches since the beginning of November.

Both teams have scored in 11 of Huddersfield's 18 Championship affairs this term.

Swansea's league fixtures have averaged 2.83 goals per game this term, so this could be a high-scoring matchup.

Prediction

Swansea finished a respectable tenth in the Championship last season and even though Russell Martin called time on his tenure, the club looked in good hands under Michael Duff heading into the new campaign.

However, things have not gone as planned and with 18 matches played, the Swans are only seven points clear of the drop zone and find themselves ten adrift of the playoffs.

There is a long way still to go but fans will be expecting to see a turnaround under Duff, whose side have drawn two and lost two of their last four games.

In Swansea's defence, their two away fixtures in that run were against highflyers Ipswich and Leeds, and they pushed both sides fairly close in respective 3-2 and 3-1 defeats.

The stalemates at home to Sunderland and Hull were, however, underwhelming and it is hard to make a case for Swansea winning this match.

Huddersfield have also struggled this term but Moore oversaw a big win away to Sunderland last time out while they also held Watford and Southampton to draws in November.

Neither side jump out as a decent match result pick and for that reason the draw could represent the best value.

Huddersfield have drawn three matches since the start of October and may again have to settle for a share of the spoils.
