Valerien Ismael's play-off hopes have taken a hit after Watford's four-game losing run

- Both teams have scored in all but one of Watford's last eight away league matches
- Watford have conceded 10 goals in their last four games in all competitions
- Recommended bet: Both teams to score

Watford had looked like mounting a play-off push but have fallen away in recent weeks, taking just two points from the last 15 available.

They are aiming to get back on track against Rotherham, who are beginning to become detached at the bottom of the table and need points soon if they are to bridge the 14-point gap to safety.

Team news

Rotherham still have an extensive injury list, with Grant Hall, Tyler Blackett, Daniel Ayala, Cohen Bramall, Shane Ferguson and Andre Green all expected to miss out.

Sean Morrison could come back into the starting line-up however, after starting from the bench in midweek.

Watford have plenty of absentees of their own, with Vakoun Issouf Bayo and Jeremy Ngakia missing out through injury and Ryan Porteous suspended after picking up 10 league yellow cards.

Emmanuel Dennis will be pushing to start after four appearances from the bench.

The stats

Both of these teams are struggling, with Watford winless in their last seven games in all competitions while recording only one victory in their last nine league matches.

Rotherham have only won one of their last 19 Championship games and have the worst defensive record in the division, conceding 59 in 31 matches.

Both teams have scored in three of the last four meetings between these two teams, two of which have finished 1-1.

Prediction

Watford are a short price to get the victory in this clash and while Rotherham have been poor this season, they have been much more solid at home.

It is also hard to put full confidence in a Hornets' outfit that have failed to win any of their last seven games.

A safer play may be to side with both teams to find the net, something that has become the norm in games involving Watford, particularly when they are on the road.

Seven of their last eight road trips in the Championship have seen both teams find the net and Rotherham could take advantage of a defence that has conceded 10 times in its last four outings.

The Millers found the scoresheet against Hull in midweek and both teams are taken to play their part in what may be a surprisingly end-to-end affair.
