There are seven Premier League games this weekend as only those teams that have been eliminated from the FA Cup get a chance to improve their tally of points.

Southampton seek to move off the bottom when they host Tottenham, and free-scoring Arsenal can surge further clear at the top,

Saturday, 3pm

Southampton's struggles in front of goal and the general perception that Tottenham improve after the break open up a route into predicting the outcome of Saturday's St Mary's clash at half-time and full-time.

Only Wolves have scored fewer home goals than the Saints this term, but they have not conceded before the interval in six of their last eight Premier League games.

Spurs have not registered before the break in five of their last eight league trips, but have produced some storming second-half displays during that time.

Antonio Conte's men came from two down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 in October, grabbed a 2-2 draw from a similar position at Brentford on Boxing Day and smashed four without reply in the second half of their clash at Selhurst Park in January.

Games between Brentford and Leicester have generally been quite close and entertaining affairs over the past few years.

There is no doubt which club is in better form right now with Leicester entering this weekend on the back of five straight losses and the Bees buzzing following their midweek win at Southampton.

But Brendan Rodgers' side still look dangerous when James Maddison is in the side, as he will be this weekend.

There is value in supporting the underdog Foxes to stun the Bees by scoring in both halves, which they have actually managed to do in three of their last seven Premier League games.

Sunday, 2pm

Arsenal look capable of opening up any opponent at the moment and could rack up a few goals against managerless Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Gunners' growing belief that this is their year to lift the title is enabling them to brush very good teams aside in sometimes less than a half of football — as was the case at Fulham last weekend.

They then collectively took their foot off the gas because there was a Europa League last-16 second leg looming, but there will be no such distraction if they get on top early against the Eagles.

Arsenal, who have won nine of their last 13 Premier League games with at least four goals in six of them, may see this as an opportunity to match the recent headline-grabbing performances of Liverpool and Manchester City by scoring a hatful of goals.

Palace have not conceded more than once in a game in their last six outings, but did ship four against Tottenham not long back and may become swamped under a sea of attacks if Mikel Arteta's men are in the mood.
