The Premier League era has witnessed some magnificent strikes and Alejandro Garnacho added his sensational effort at Goodison Park to the long list of screamers in the English top flight.

Garnacho, 19, guided an overhead kick into the back of the net against Everton as Manchester United stormed to a 3-0 win on Merseyside.

Inspired by the Argentine's acrobatic ability, we take a look at 10 of the division's most jaw-dropping goals.

Matt Le Tissier (vs Newcastle, 1993)

Matt Le Tissier added a touch of class every time he stepped out on to the pitch and of his 100 Premier League goals, his finish against Newcastle in October 1993 stands out from the rest.

Southampton's talismanic forward embarked on a mazy run, flicking the ball up and over two defenders before calmly slotting home as if he was playing a casual game against friends at the park.

Tony Yeboah (vs Liverpool, 1995)

Former Ghana striker Tony Yeboah was fond of a stunning strike and one of his best came against Liverpool in August 1995.

From 25 yards, the Leeds finisher struck the sweetest of volleys towards goal and watched as his looping effort cannoned in off the crossbar to send Elland Road into raptures.

Paul Scholes (vs Bradford, 2000)

Manchester United have been blessed with some world-class talent over the years and Paul Scholes remains right up there as one of England's finest midfielders.

His thunderous finish against Bradford in March 2000 is memorable for so many reasons — whether it was the sheer velocity of the volley or the fractional space available for the ball to travel through.

Thierry Henry (vs Manchester United, 2000)

Premier League icon Thierry Henry delivered so much success for Arsenal and etched his name in the history books as one of the greatest goalscorers to play in England's top flight.

Of his 175 goals in the competition, Henry's effort against Manchester United in October 2000 stands out the most. The Frenchman received the ball with his back to goal, flicked it up and hit a strike on the turn, bamboozling Fabien Barthez and finding the net.

Paolo Di Canio (vs Wimbledon, 2000)

Paolo Di Canio's scissor kick for West Ham against Wimbledon from March 2000 is arguably the most iconic goal on our list and fans of all ages will have been blessed with replays of the strike.

The Italian famously adjusted his body to rifle a sublime volley back across goal at Upton Park, sparking a reaction of both jubilation and confusion at the same time and leaving many spectators in disbelief about what they had just witnessed.

Dennis Bergkamp (vs Newcastle, 2002)

Arsenal's golden era was littered with spectacular strikes and Dennis Bergkamp's innovative move against Newcastle in March 2002 remains engrained in the minds of most Premier League spectators.

The Dutch maestro flicked the ball around his opponent, spinning the other way in the box before guiding a nonchalant finish past goalkeeper Shay Given and wheeling off to celebrate.

Wayne Rooney (vs Manchester City, 2011)

Garnacho's goal at Everton on Sunday had shades of Wayne Rooney's against Manchester City back in February 2011.

England's iconic marksman turned a poor cross from Manchester United team-mate Nani into one of the best goals ever seen at the Theatre of Dreams, producing an exquisite overhead kick that left Joe Hart rooted to the spot.

Jack Wilshere (vs Norwich, 2013)

The Gunners are responsible for the Premier League's most satisfying goal and Jack Wilshere had the simple task of rounding off a sublime team move at the Emirates in October 2013.

Starting with Santi Cazorla on the left, Arsenal completed six short passes around a confused Norwich backline before Wilshere poked the ball home in a real blink-and-you-missed-it moment in North London.

Dele Alli (vs Crystal Palace, 2016)

Dele Alli had the world at his feet during his early days at Tottenham and the 27-year-old announced himself on the big stage with his goal against Crystal Palace in January 2016.

On the edge of the penalty box, the England midfielder juggled the ball, flicking it over Mile Jedinak's head on the spin before driving a volley into the bottom corner.

Andros Townsend (vs Manchester City, 2018)

Rounding off our list is Andros Townsend's glorious hit for Crystal Palace against Manchester City in December 2018.

The 13-cap England international silenced the Etihad with a perfectly positioned volley from 30 yards out and almost tore through the net with the power he generated on the ball.
