Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he does not "feel the love" from fans following a 2-2 draw with Premier League strugglers Brentford.

The Blues led through Nicolas Jackson at the break before second-half goals from Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa fired the Bees ahead.

Axel Disasi headed home from close range in the 83rd minute to rescue a point for Chelsea — though the visiting fans still expressed their displeasure.

After the match, Pochettino accepted his relationship with the supporters was strained after a Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool and run of poor Premier League form.

The tactician, who turned 52 today, said: "I've been told, I didn't hear to be honest, it's difficult for me to understand.

"But it's normal, we were losing the game 2-1 and they expressed their frustration. I am one of the ones responsible, I'm the coach.

"I was asked before if I feel the love from the fans. No.

"I'm not worried. We need to accept this relationship. You earn your relationship through winning games."

Chelsea have won just one of their previous five Premier League matches and are without a clean sheet in their last eight fixtures in all competitions.

However, Pochettino remains adamant that his players can turn their fortunes around this season and get the fans back on side.

He said: "I will continue to work and try to change this perception. We need to manage some reality. We are working really hard to try to win games, the team is fighting.

"If it doesn't work and the fans are disappointed, I need to respect their opinion. I think the relationship is good. If they did what they did, fans are emotional.

"I am fighting with all my senses to try to provide a team to play in the best way to score goals and win games. Today is my 52nd birthday, I know this business, but I'm going to fight."
