- Tottenham have scored in 25 successive Premier League matches
- Man City have kept only five clean sheets in 20 games in all competitions
- Recommended Bet: Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals

Both Manchester City and Tottenham have had a testing time of it in the Premier League recently and will be looking to get back to winning ways at the Etihad Stadium.

City have been held to draws by Chelsea and Liverpool in their last two league fixtures before having to battle from 2-0 down to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 on Tuesday.

As for Spurs, they lost all three of their league games in November against Chelsea, Wolves and Aston Villa and Ange Postecoglou will be after a response from his side.

Team news

Man City will once again be without Kevin De Bruyne and Matheus Nunes but John Stones and Mateo Kovacic should be in the matchday squad.

Tottenham could be without as many as 10 players for the visit to Manchester, with Cristian Romero still suspended and the likes of James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Micky van de Ven all sidelined.

Yves Bissouma, however, is back after suspension and Richarlison is hoping to make the bench.

The stats

Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham will try to play an attacking brand of football, regardless of which players are missing

Tottenham have scored in each of their last 25 Premier League games, last drawing a blank in the top flight against Wolves back in March.

Manchester City have failed to win four of their last seven top-flight fixtures and risk going three Premier League matches without a win for the first time since 2017.

The last two league meetings between these sides at the Etihad Stadium have produced 11 goals, while each of Tottenham's last four contests have seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals.

Prediction

Pep Guardiola's Man City are never down for long and it would be a bold move to oppose them against Tottenham.

Failing to beat Spurs would mean they have gone three league fixtures without a win for the first time in six years and they do not have a great record against the north Londoners.

Indeed, since Guardiola's arrival at City, he has lost more games against Tottenham (six) than any other opponent.

In the process, City have shipped 19 goals against the capital club and their rearguard has looked leaky this season.

They have kept only five clean sheets in all competitions and matters could be much worse if it were not for their prolific attack and, namely. Erling Haaland.

Tottenham are always a danger going forward and should cause City problems but they will be missing key defender Romero and have conceded more than once in nine of their 10 league fixtures without him.

Goals could therefore be the way to go in the betting in what should be a blockbuster of a game in Manchester on Sunday.
