Goodwood racecourse is gearing up for a bumper Sunday of action

It has been a fantastic weekend of racing so far and the action is not over yet.

Goodwood is one of the standout cards on Sunday afternoon, with seven races coming from the Sussex Downs.

The opening contest is at 1.45pm and the meeting runs through to the finale at 5.10pm.

LiveScore's five to follow

1.45pm - Sussex Roof Garden Handicap (7f)

It's a really competitive handicap over 7f to begin the card with.

Longlai has not finished outside the front two on his two appearances this season so he comes into this race in form. His stablemate Magical Wish is sure to have his supporters too now he has dropped down the weights.

The runner that stands out in this field in PEROTTO. He has run really well on both of his appearances at this course so far.

He was a little disappointing at Newmarket on his latest outing but he can bounce back over this longer trip.

LiveScore Selection: Perotto

2.20pm - Charlton Hunt Handicap (1m1f)

ORDER OF ST JOHN broke his maiden at the 14th time of asking at Nottingham earlier this month.

If you look at his official rating, he remains off the same mark as that win. It came in a 'hands and heels' contest for apprentices.

That confidence boosting success can be followed up here, especially as his pilot Alex Jary can claim 7lb in this race.

On his best form, Grey Fox should be competitive at this level. But he has to bounce back from a disappointing run at Leicester last time where he was fancied to prevail.

LiveScore Selection: Order Of St John

2.55pm - Long View Selling Stakes (5f)

Recent winners Black Hill Storm and WEE LOCH LASS need to carry a penalty in this sprint race if they are to follow up and it is the latter who looks to have the best chance of being able to do that.

David O'Meara's runner has consistently been involved at the finish in all four of her stars to date.

There was a lot to like about the way the filly battled to get her first win at Carlisle last month. The two-year can take full advantage of the weight allowance for fillies by beating the opposite sex in this race.

LiveScore Selection: Wee Loch Lass

3.30pm - Goodwood Patrons' Handicap (2m)

Call My Bluff and East Asia are C&D winners in this field and they both have a good chance of more success at this course.

The latter is bidding for a hat-trick but he does need a career best now from this latest mark of 82.

With just five runs under his belt, LYFORD is the most unexposed runner.

He scored on the all-weather at Wolverhampton (1m4f) last year in what was a smart performance.

This horse could improve further for this step up in distance as he is related to former Ascot Gold Cup winner Big Orange. He is off a very winnable mark on his first attempt at this trip.

LiveScore Selection: Lyford

4.40pm - Horsewalk Maiden Stakes (1m1f)

This is an interesting maiden as there are some well-bred horses making their debuts.

Alkhattaaf represents the boys in blue, Godolphin, while at the bottom of the card, it would be no surprise if Touchet Beret ran well on her opening start.

Experience at this age does count for a lot and that is something TIGER BEETLE has on his side.

He is by Camelot and connections will be hopeful he can build upon his third-place finish at Nottingham last time.

The form from that race has seen been franked so this looks a good chance for him to break his maiden tag.

LiveScore Selection: Tiger Beetle
