- Leicester are 11 points clear at the top
- The Owls are second bottom in the Championship
- Recommended bet: Over 2.5 Leicester goals

It now looks inevitable that Leicester will be back in the Premier League next season and the flying Foxes should maintain their great form by comfortably seeing off relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.

Leicester beat Watford 2-1 on Saturday to make it three league wins on the spin and they are now sitting 11 points clear at the top, although their nearest challengers, Southampton, do have a game in hand.

It would be remarkable if Leicester fail to go on and win the title from here and Enzo Maresca's side should further demonstrate their promotion credentials with a victory — while grabbing at least three more goals — against Wednesday.

Team news

Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi remains sidelined with a leg injury, while Kelechi Iheanacho is still away with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations so is unlikely to be back in time.

Marc Albrighton and Jannik Vestergaard are also still unavailable for the hosts.

Josh Windass, John Buckley, Callum Paterson and Dominic Iorfa are set to be absent due to injury for the visitors.

Leicester have won 24 of their 31 Championship games so far this term.

At home, the Foxes have won 12 of their 15 league games, drawing once and losing just twice so far this season.

The Owls have picked up only seven points (two wins, one draw) from their 15 matches on the road this season.

The reverse fixture at Hillsborough earlier in the season, which ended 1-1, was the first competitive meeting between these two sides since April 2014.

Prediction

Backing a Leicester win, available at 1/4 with LiveScore Bet, has little value so looking at the goal markets for this clash might be the better alternative.

Unsurprisingly, Leicester have scored a division-high 66 league goals this season, with 31 of those coming in front of their own fans.

Maresca's side have scored three or more goals in five of their last six home league games and overall this season they have scored three or more times in the Championship on 11 occasions.

Against a side struggling against the drop like the Owls we therefore should expect a convincing home win with plenty of goals.

Wednesday did end a run of four league games without a win with a much-needed 2-0 home success over Birmingham on Friday, but that victory needs to be put in context as the Blues are in poor form right now.

Away from home, the Owls have been pretty dreadful all season, winning just two of their 15 trips, losing 12 times and drawing just once, while they have conceded 30 goals on the road, with only Huddersfield (31) and Norwich (32) having conceded more.
