Leeds to win to zero

Leeds will be targeting top spot in the Championship on Sunday as they play host to a Millwall side that have struggled for goals all season.

Daniel Farke's side have beaten both Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday since being held by Huddersfield, and now face another side with relegation concerns.

Millwall's form has picked up of late though as they have won three in a four-game unbeaten streak to open up a five-point cushion over the relegation zone.

Team news

Farke could name an unchanged starting lineup, with Stuart Dallas and Pascal Struijk both still sidelined and Jaidon Anthony and Jamie Shackleton doubtful for Sunday’s fixture.

Millwall are also free from any new injury concerns, with Shaun Hutchinson’s return last weekend leaving attacker Kevin Nisbet as the Lions' only selection problem.

Leeds have won nine of their last 12 Championship games without conceding.

Millwall have the joint fourth-worst attacking record in the Championship.

Leeds have the best defensive record in the division, conceding just 28 goals in 37 games.

Millwall have lost to nil in four of their last 10 Championship assignments.

Prediction

Leeds have fired into life since the turn of the year and they can take advantage of Championship leaders Leicester City’s preoccupation with the FA Cup this weekend by going top of the table on Sunday.

While Leicester’s form has taken a turn for the worse recently, the Whites have been firing on all cylinders and know that they will move into top spot should they beat Millwall by two goals or more at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke’s side are unbeaten in all 12 Championship games since the start of 2024 and they have taken maximum points in 11 of those, while their nine clean sheets in these victories mean they have the division’s best defensive record by some distance.

Leeds have conceded just 28 goals in 37 games so far, so they should feel confident of another clean sheet against one of the worst attacking sides in the second tier.

Millwall have enjoyed something of a resurgence of late, but three of their recent four unbeaten games have come against sides in the bottom half of the Championship and their goal threat remains underwhelming at best.

Only three teams have scored fewer goals than the Lions this season and their 37 games so far have averaged a league-low 2.27 goals per game.

Despite their recent upturn in form, Millwall have still lost to nil in four of their last 10 league matches and another routine win for the flourishing Whites could be in store on Sunday.
