Lamine Yamal scored his second goal for Spain against Cyprus

Teenage wonderkid Lamine Yamal scored again for Spain as they beat Cyprus 3-1 in Euro 2024 qualifying.

The Barcelona sensation, 16, opened the scoring as he pounced on a rebound, went past both the goalkeeper and the last defender to elegantly put the ball in the back of the net.

Yamal opened his Spain account in September against Georgia, breaking Ansu Fati’s record to become the youngest player and scorer for La Roja.

Spain, who have already sealed Euro 2024 qualification, doubled their advantage in the 22nd minute through Mikel Oyarzabal before Joselu made it three moments later.

Cyprus did grab a consolation late into the second half as Kostas Pileas' strike flew past David Raya to give the hosts something to cheer.

Luis de la Fuente's side are now in pole position to finish as Group A winners, with Scotland's draw with Georgia handing Spain a two-point advantage ahead of the final set of games.

CR7 nets for Portugal

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo was on target as Portugal grabbed a routine 2-0 away win against Liechtenstein.

Just after the restart, Diogo Jota played in the Al-Nassr star, who took one touch before finishing expertly past the goalkeeper.

The strike was Ronaldo's international record-extending 128th goal for Portugal.

Joao Cancelo doubled the visitors advantage shortly after when he took the ball past goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel and lofted the ball into an empty net.

Portugal have already qualified for the Euro's in Germany, winning nine game out of nine and only conceding two goals.
