Winging it

Peter Schmeichel has urged Jadon Sancho to make the most of his opportunity to shine at Manchester United.

Despite netting five goals in 29 appearances this season, the England winger has struggled to replicate the fine form he displayed at Borussia Dortmund.

And with Marcus Rashford sidelined, Schmeichel believes 23-year-old Sancho should be making more of his playing time.

Speaking after last night's 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-finals, the United legend said: "I fail to remember anything he did well and that's the sad truth.

"There is nothing on his shoulders — no one is expecting miracles.

"He's one part of a team that is supposed to be able to attack from either side, to mix it up and offer variety in their play."

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast, Schmeichel added: "He has a great opportunity at Old Trafford with a manager who believes in him and wants to help him.

"Now he needs to go on the pitch and show that."

No margin for error

Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City have no room for error when they face Leicester tomorrow.

The champions could move within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal with victory at the Etihad but a slip-up could prove costly.

City boss Guardiola said: "Earlier in the season our good games were really, really good but we were not consistent.

"Everyone knows if we'd lost those games we would not win the title. It's the same tomorrow. If we lose the game we will not be champions.

"If we win we would still be there but we cannot forget we are six points behind Arsenal, a team that have dropped few points throughout the season and play one game a week."

Working hard

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui says Raul Jimenez and Rayan Ait-Nouri are both working hard to get back into his matchday squad.

Striker Jimenez, 31, was not involved in last week's win over Chelsea while Ait-Nouri, 21, has not been part of the squad since last month's defeat at Newcastle.

But speaking ahead of tomorrow's visit from Brentford, Lopetegui said: "Raul is trying to recover his space.

"This is the aim for any player, the commitment to fight in their daily work here, trying to find a space and he's trying for sure.

"Rayan the same. He's fighting and other team-mates are trying to do the same.

"Our job is to choose and their work is to fight to win the space in the team. Of course, it's good always for the team."

The London derby between Women's Super League rivals West Ham and Chelsea has been rescheduled for May 17.

Originally set for April 30, the match had to be switched due to Emma Hayes' Blues advancing to the Champions League semi-finals.

The two sides have met twice already this season — in the WSL and League Cup semis — with Chelsea winning both encounters.

Their third and final meeting will kick off at 8.15pm and be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Chelsea's home clash with Leicester, originally set for April 23, must also be rescheduled.

Due a big result

Flynn Downes has warned Arsenal: West Ham are due a result against one of the top sides.

The Hammers host the Premier League leaders on Sunday having yet to beat one of the so-called big six this season.

But the win over Fulham last weekend gave David Moyes' side a three-point cushion from the relegation zone and midfielder Downes believes they can build on that against the Gunners.

He said: "We are due a result against a big team. I think it's coming.

"We got a big win against Fulham the other day and we'll take that into Sunday.

"We don't fear them. They're coming to our home, so we're going to take them on."
