West Ham Win & Under 3.5 goals

Sean Dyche’s Everton, who are four points better off without kicking a ball this week, are not losing many games but are finding wins impossible to come by.

It is now nine games without a win in the Premier League for the Toffees, who have also drawn five of their last six in the top flight with their one defeat in that sequence coming at Manchester City.

The Merseysiders will be relieved that their 10-point deduction has been reduced to six on appeal but they are not out of the woods yet and West Ham look value to keep the heat on David Moyes' former club.

Team news

After two impressive performances off the Everton bench, Amadou Onana may well have earned a start against West Ham, probably at the expense of Idrissa Gueye.

After Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goalless run was extended to 20 matches, Dyche must also be tempted to swap the England frontman out for Beto.

Moyes will be hoping Lucas Paqueta recovers well from his first Hammers' start in seven weeks.

Kalvin Phillips is available again after a one-match ban but will probably have to settle for a place on the bench after struggling since his January switch.

The stats

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has gone 20 games without a goal but his last came against West Ham in a 1-0 win in October

Calvert-Lewin has not scored in the last 20 games — since scoring the only goal of the game at West Ham in October.

Only Burnley and Sheffield United have scored fewer goals than Everton this season.

The Toffees, without a league win since December 16, have scored one goal or less in 12 of their last 13 matches in all competitions.

West Ham snapped an eight-game winless run with their 4-2 success over Brentford on Monday.

Nine of the last 10 Premier League fixtures between these clubs has produced two goals or less.

Prediction

Everton are fighting for their Premier League lives and while they are proving hard to beat, they are also struggling for wins.

Despite that, they are fairly strong favourites for the visit of West Ham and too short given they have not won a league game since the middle of December.

Their lack of a scoring edge makes them easy enough to oppose whereas West Ham were back among the goals on Monday, Jarrod Bowen bagging a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over Brentford.

The return of Lucas Paqueta from injury coincided with that overdue Hammers’ success and a fully-fit Paqueta is a major weapon as ex-Toffees' chief Moyes tries to mastermind a push for the European places.

West Ham will be set up to be hard to break down and look to catch Everton on the counter — only Nottingham Forest have scored more goals on the break this season than the Hammers.
