Everton Win to Zero

Everton fans, starved of much to shout about for most of the season, have seen their beloved Toffees win four straight home games without conceding a single goal.

It is a run which has hoisted them clear of the relegation zone, where rock-bottom Sheffield United have been camped all season long.

Team news

Sean Dyche may make a tweak or two with Andre Gomes pushing for just a fourth start of the season.

There are also some calls to see Youssef Chermiti given a game, maybe alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

United boss Chris Wilder has a change in his back five to make with Anel Ahmedhodzic suspended but loanee Mason Holgate, an obvious replacement, cannot play against his parent club.

At the other end of the pitch six-goal Oli McBurnie is injured, one of nine players unavailable for the Blades.

The stats

Chris Wilder's Sheffield United have won just one of their 18 away fixtures this season, while losing 14

Everton have won nine times at Goodison Park in all competitions, all nine with clean sheets.

The Toffees have lost just one of their last seven matches.

They have scored 18 of their 38 Premier League goals (47 percent) from set-plays, by far the highest ratio this season.

Eighteen league matches at Goodison this season have produced a league-low 14 first-half goals.

United are the second side in Premier League history to concede 100 goals in a single campaign.

The Blades have managed one clean sheet all season and have conceded at least two goals in each of their last 10 fixtures.

Prediction

Everton are signing off their 2023-24 campaign in some style and would expect to finish at Goodison Park with a win against relegated Sheffield United.

United have looked doomed for much of the season and taken far too many hidings, and while it is hard to imagine Everton giving anyone a hiding — their four wins since Christmas have been either by 1-0 or 2-0 scorelines — the Toffees have to be the bet.

And rather than get stuck into short 90-minute odds, take them to win to zero at 13/10 with LiveScore Bet.

All nine of their home wins this season have been to nil, including each of their last four. You have to go back to 2019 for the last time they won five in a row at home.

Dyche has finally got a tune out of key players, notably Dominic Calvert-Lewin who is leading the line with confidence and authority once again after a poor first three-quarters of the season.

They remain a massive threat from set-plays which is the source of most of their goals but are now looking defensively sound and should be good enough to stifle a Sheffield side who just need a wretched season to end.
