- Cheltenham Festival Day 4: Best bet, each-way selection and treble including:
- Three Card Brag to win the Albert Bartlett
- Might I each-way in the Martin Pipe

It is the fourth and final act of the Cheltenham Festival on Friday afternoon with the centrepiece of the entire week - the Gold Cup - the key attraction as the Cotswolds extravaganza concludes for another year with Willie Mullins' Galopin Des Champs looking to ensure Irish eyes are smiling on St Patrick's Day.

Day 4 - Key info

First race: 13:30 JCB Triumph Hurdle

Feature race: 15:30 Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup

The centrepiece of the entire meeting takes places on day four as the best staying chasers in the business go for ultimate glory in jumps racings' most prestigious race — the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The greats of the game have all triumphed in this exacting three-and-a-quarter-mile test and to win it is to join that pantheon of racing folklore.

King George winner Bravemansgame is a big hope for Paul Nicholls and Britain, but Ireland's quest for a fifth-straight win has depth to it.

Defending champ A Plus Tard could shine back here given how Henry De Bromhead's team have performed this week, while Noble Yeats, Stattler and Conflated should all relish the stamina test.

The class act however is GALOPIN DES CHAMPS, who looks the obvious pick at 15/8 to win the Gold Cup with LiveScoreBet now.

He has plenty of course form, would have won here last season bar a blip at the last and looks a far more relaxed performer this season, which should help him get this longer trip. He has never been defeated when completing over fences and, in all honesty, it has never even looked likely.

Connections of the Gordon Elliott-trained THREE CARD BRAG have been praying for rain in the run-up to this meeting and they have got their wish with plenty ease in the ground and the prospect of more moisture by Friday afternoon.

This horse was second behind Inthepocket in a Grade 2 over 2m4f at Naas in December, the winner has been second in a 2m Grade 1 at the Dublin Racing Festival and fourth here in the Supreme since.

An easy winner since at Fairyhouse in January, Three Card Brag should relish this increased trip and ground conditions are a massive plus for him.

Harry Fry sends MIGHT I into battle in the Festival finale, the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle, and it is a positive that he has his regular rider Lorcan Murtagh on board.

They were second over 2m1f on soft ground here on Trials Day in January and the best of last year's novice form — second in a Grade 1 at Aintree over three-miles — suggests this lightly-raced sort can play a leading hand back up in trip in a first-time tongue-tie.

Before now, Might I's claim to fame has been that he was sent off favourite to beat Constitution Hill on the Champion Hurdler's debut at Sandown last season. He has always looked capable of winning a big prize and this could be it.

Day 4 acca

Everybody loves a Cheltenham Festival accumulator and we will be pointing towards one on each of the four days this week. On the final day, our treble pays over 50/1 return with LiveScoreBet.

Willie Mullins and Paul Townend won this race with State Man last year and given the manner of his easy Listed win at Navan last month, HUNTERS YARN could be another blot for them as owners Simon Munir and Isaac Suede look to continue a brilliant week for their double green colours.

The rain this week will not do the likes of Bravemansgame any good and so GALOPIN DES CHAMPS is favoured for Mullins/Townend. He is unbeaten when completing over fences, has won at this meeting before, and could just be a cut above his would-be Gold Cup rivals.

Trainer David Christie saw Winged Leader mugged in the final strides by Billaway in this race a year ago. He's got an exceedingly strong team of hunter chasers and this race is uppermost on his list of desirables. He had three leading contenders in the antepost market but has sent only improving VAUCELET to the Cotswolds. That smacks of confidence.
