- Leeds are unbeaten in their last 12 matches
- Chelsea have won just two of their last seven fixtures
- Recommended bet: Leeds or draw double chance

Chelsea have been left with one route to silverware after Sunday's extra-time 1-0 loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final and they will be anxious to avoid it being closed off by Leeds, who are their FA Cup fifth round opponents at Stamford Bridge.

Winning a trophy looks massively important for Blues' boss Mauricio Pochettino if he is to maintain the trust of the club's supporters.

But the club are four steps away from glory and face a tricky test against Leeds, who have won their last nine Championship fixtures.

Leeds' main aim is to reclaim Premier League status and they remained second in the Championship after last Friday's 3-1 success at home to Leicester.

Team news

Chelsea will be missing Wesley Fofana (knee), Reece James, Lesley Ugochukwu, Romeo Lavia (all thigh), Carney Chukwuemeka (ankle) and Benoit Badiashile (groin).

Thiago Silva (groin) and Marc Cucurella (ankle) are closer to being involved, although neither were risked in Sunday's Carabao Cup final.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke must make do without Sam Byram (leg) Stuart Dallas (hip), Pascal Struijk (groin) and Karl Darlow (finger).

Changes are expected and there could be recalls for Dan James and Patrick Bamford, who came off the bench to good effect in Friday's 3-1 victory over Leicester.

The stats

Chelsea have failed to win five of their last seven fixtures.

Four of Chelsea's last six matches have featured at least four goals.

Leeds are unbeaten in their last 12 matches in all competitions.

The Yorkshire giants have won their last nine Championship fixtures and have kept clean sheets in seven of them.

Four of Leeds' last 11 wins have been by a 3-0 scoreline.

Prediction

The FA Cup is Chelsea's final shot at silverware this season
The FA Cup is Chelsea's final shot at silverware this season

Leeds are sure to be confident after a 12-game unbeaten run and they can at the very least take Chelsea to extra-time in their FA Cup clash in west London.

There is a lot more riding on the outcome for Chelsea, who are relying on the FA Cup to salvage something from a disappointing campaign.

But the Blues buckled at the crunch moments in Sunday's Carabao Cup final and there are no guarantees of them coping with the pressure at Stamford Bridge.

Some of the Chelsea players could be suffering from mental and physical fatigue and they are unlikely to get an easy ride from Leeds, who are used to winning games.

Leeds came on strong in the final 20 minutes to defeat Leicester on Friday and they have every chance of continuing their FA Cup journey.
