- Colonial Country Club has staged an annual PGA Tour event since 1946

- Recommended bets:
- Max Homa to win and each-way
- Lee Hodges to win and each-way
- Christiaan Bezuidenhout to win and each-way
Scottie Scheffler has committed to play in the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas, this week, but the world number one may be lacking his usual sparkle.
Scheffler can be backed at 11/4 with LiveScore Bet for a first Colonial victory. The short odds will probably tempt punters aware of his PGA Tour form figures of 1-1-2-1-1-8, but the headline act may struggle in the wake of his eventful US PGA Championship.
Scheffler was arrested last Friday morning outside Valhalla and has a court hearing next month. With a newborn baby at home, the Colonial favourite has plenty of off-course distractions.
Homa the value option in breezy Lone Star State
Eighth place in the Arnold Palmer Invitational for Max Homa has been followed by third spot in the Masters, eighth in the Wells Fargo Championship and four solid rounds of 35th place in the US PGA Championship.
Homa battled well at a long, soft Valhalla last week, and moves to a more suitable course this week with confidence. His typically excellent iron-play and superb putting counts for so much at Colonial, where he finished ninth last year.
Hodges can build on fantastic Valhalla effort
Closing rounds of 65, 67 and 69 rocketed Lee Hodges up to 12th place in the US PGA Championship last week and the steadily improving Alabaman looks a great value outsider for the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Hodges finished 24th in the Wells Fargo Championship prior to his bold Valhalla effort and he appears to be playing well enough to threaten a second PGA Tour title at Colonial. He has form figures of 35-29 in this event from his time as a maiden.

Bezuidenhout set to threaten maiden Tour title
Three-time DP World Tour champion Christiaan Bezuidenhout should make a PGA Tour breakthrough soon enough - and Colonial seems an ideal layout for the accurate South African.
Bezuidenhout, second in the 2022 John Deere Classic and second in The American Express in January, takes form figures of 13-9-25-28-3-16-MC to Colonial. He missed the cut by a shot at Valhalla last week, but is much better suited to the dimensions of Colonial.
