- Catalans have already beaten Warrington Wolves twice this season
- Warrington have won three games in a row in all competitions

Warrington +3.5

Two teams towards the top of the Super League table meet at the Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday as Catalans Dragons entertain Warrington Wolves.

The French club have already hosted Sam Burgess' side in Round One, recording a 16-10 victory. In Round Six, they won at the Halliwell Jones Stadium 24-32, and a win this weekend would move them two points clear of Warrington.

Four clubs sit tied on 16 points at the top of the table, but St Helens could move clear on Friday, should they beat Leeds Rhinos at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Team news

Catalans Dragons hooker Michael McIlorum will play no part in Saturday's game, having been left out of the squad, but Catalans coach Steve McNamara has been boosted by the return of captain Ben Garcia, Paul Seguier and Jordan Dezaria.

Burgess has made two changes to his squad after their 46-10 win over Huddersfield Giants, with Jordy Crowther and Connor Wrench replaced by Joe Bullock and Adam Holroyd.

An ankle injury keeps Wrench at home, but Crowther is left out for selection reasons.

Steve McNamara usually has his Catalans Dragons side up for the challenge on home soil.

The stats

No team have made more metres than Warrington this season, with the Wolves making 14,941 so far under Burgess. Their attacking brand of rugby has helped them score 286 points so far, which is 42 more than the Dragons.

Warrington have lost the last three meetings between the two clubs, but both defeats this season have been by fewer than eight points.

Saturday's game promises to be a special occasion for Seguier and Joe Bullock, with the former due to make his 100th career appearance while Bullock is due to play his 100th game in Super League.

Prediction

Catalans will be confident of winning on Saturday, having already beaten Warrington twice this season.

McNamara's men are unbeaten in their six games at the Stade Gilbert Brutus in Super League, but they did fall short against Huddersfield in the Challenge Cup, losing 34-6 in April.

While Catalans have the advantage this season, they have struggled for consistency of late. They have lost three of their previous five games, while Warrington are on the up.

The Wire have won six of their last seven since losing to the Dragons and they should be able to push Catalans all the way.
