Leeds boss Daniel Farke will be eyeing a climb into an automatic promotion place

- Bristol City are unbeaten in four, keeping two clean sheets during that time
- Leeds are unbeaten in six in all competitions
- Recommended bet: Leeds to win and Under 2.5 goals

Leeds United will look to move into the automatic promotion places when they travel to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City on Friday evening.

The Whites have been playing catch up as they try to hunt down Ipswich Town and Southampton, but after a strong run of results, Daniel Farke's men can climb into the top two, albeit possibly only for 24 hours.

Bristol City are 13th in the Championship table at present, but they are only six points behind the top six as they try to push towards the play-offs.

Team News

Recent signing Scott Twine will miss out with a thigh injury, and he joins the likes of Rob Atkinson, Kal Naismith and Mark Sykes in the Bristol City treatment room.

Ross McCrorie has returned to full fitness after a recent injury and will be looking to start for Liam Manning's side.

Leeds boss Farke will be without Dan James and Pascal Struijk through injury, while Stuart Dallas remains the club's only long-term injury absentee.

Archie Gray, Junior Firpo, Glen Kamara, Crysencio Summerville and Patrick Bamford were all rested for the recent 1-1 draw with Plymouth, and they should all be looking to return to the fold this week.

The stats

Leeds ran out 2-1 winners in the first meeting between the two sides in October, and they have now won the last five games between the two clubs, while they are unbeaten in eight against the Robins.

Manning's side are unbeaten in four in all competitions, while at Ashton Gate, they have lost three of their previous five.

The Whites are unbeaten in six, winning five of those matches. On the road, they have won two on the spin, winning 3-0 in both of those fixtures.

Prediction

Leeds look to have found their groove under Farke, and they will fancy their chances of moving into the top two.

While they may only stay there for a matter of hours, that could do Farke's team the world of good, and their recent dominant performances have helped them pick up some impressive results.

While an away win looks likely, we do not expect a high-scoring fixture. The Robins have only conceded two goals in their last four at home, so they should be able to keep things tight before Leeds' class takes over.
