- Both teams have scored in seven of Crystal Palace’s last eight Premier League games
- Bournemouth have taken ten points from their last four league matches
- Recommended bet:
Bournemouth to win & both teams to score

Bournemouth will be looking to extend their excellent run of form and continue their charge towards the top half of the table when they host Crystal Palace on Tuesday, although the Eagles have looked markedly improved since Oliver Glasner took charge in February.

Team news

Ryan Christie missed his first game of the season on Saturday and will be absent again on Tuesday, joining Ryan Fredericks, Luis Sinisterra and Marcos Senesi on the sidelines for Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace will be without at least seven first-team players for Tuesday’s trip to the south coast, with Cheick Doucoure, Rob Holding, Marc Guehi, Matheus Franca, Michael Olise, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Sam Johnstone all injured.

The stats

- Both teams have scored in seven of Crystal Palace’s last eight Premier League games

- Bournemouth have taken ten points from their last four league matches

- Crystal Palace are winless in nine Premier League away games but have scored in eight of those

- Both teams have scored in four of Bournemouth’s last five home league fixtures

- Bournemouth have conceded six goals in their last three home league games

- The Cherries are without a clean sheet in six home fixtures in the Premier League

Prediction

Oliver Glasner's Palace have struggled on the road despite improving performances.
Oliver Glasner's Palace have struggled on the road despite improving performances.

Bournemouth made it ten points from the last 12 available with a 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday and the Cherries could close the gap on the top half of the table with another win against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

The visiting Eagles, who are eight points adrift of Bournemouth but sit just one position below them, have improved under Oliver Glasner but their struggles on the road remain, with their last nine Premier League away days yielding four draws and five defeats.

Despite their poor travelling form, Palace have scored in 13 of their 15 league away games this season and they should at least find the net against a defensively fragile Bournemouth outfit.

Andoni Iraola’s side have conceded six goals across their last three home games and have not kept a clean sheet at the Vitality Stadium since Boxing Day, shipping 12 goals in the six matches since.

However, with confidence and form on their side and Palace still struggling away from Selhurst Park, the hosts should take all three points in a potential thriller at the Vitality Stadium.
