Wolves vs Bournemouth predictions: Entertainment expected at Molineux

Both Wolves and Bournemouth will try and bounce back from defeats at the weekend when they meet in what could be an entertaining clash on Wednesday in the Premier League.

Gary O'Neil takes on his old club after Wolves struggled to make any sort of impact against title-chasing Arsenal on Saturday, when they lost 2-0 at home, while the Cherries, after a good start, also lost over the weekend, going down 3-1 at Aston Villa.

This should be an open game between two sides who have shown plenty of good signs this season and with both free from the fear of relegation, goals could be on the agenda at Molineux.

Wolves' injury woes are not showing any signs of easing as O'Neil continues to plan without several first-team regulars.

Matheus Cunha, Pedro Neto, Nelson Semedo, Craig Dawson, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Leon Chiwome are all still in the treatment room and will not be involved against Bournemouth.

Tyler Adams and Chris Mepham remain doubtful for the visitors after they both missed the defeat at Villa, while Marcus Tavernier, Ryan Fredericks and Luis Sinisterra are all on the long-term injury list.

Wolves struggled for goals last season but under O'Neil, the Black Country outfit have improved their ratio in the top flight with 46 from 33 games.

Saturday's 2-0 reverse against Arsenal was just the second game in their last seven in all competitions in which Wolves have failed to find the back of the net, and over their past 10 matches they have averaged at least one goal per game.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, have scored in each of their last eight outings and over that period the Cherries have averaged just under two goals per game.

They have one of the best centre-forwards in the division in Dominic Solanke, who scored the opener at Villa on Sunday to take his tally for the campaign to an impressive 18 goals, and this is a side that almost always scores away from home, with October's trip to Everton being their only blank on the road this term.

With the two teams hopefully set to play with a bit of freedom as the end of the campaign draws near, this should be an end-to-end game.
