- Swansea have taken 10 points from their last four matches
- Millwall have earned 23 points from 12 games under Neil Harris
- Recommended bet: Both Teams to Score/Over 2.5 Goals

A battle for the right to finish 13th wouldn’t have been the last-day ambition anticipated at the start of the 2023/24 season, but these have been trying campaigns for both Swansea and Millwall.

At least the two teams are finishing in decent form persuading fans that next season might be altogether more positive than the one about to finish.

Team news

Swans boss Luke Williams has promised to blood some youth in their last two games with the likes of Charlie Patino and Azeem Abdulai among youngsters hoping to be involved.

Joe Allen, Kyle Naughton and Przemyslaw Placheta are injured.

Lions boss Neil Harris could hand starts to veterans Bartosz Bialkowski and Shaun Hutchinson, but defender Joe Bryan is definitely ruled out.

The stats

Swansea are unbeaten in their last four matches, three of them wins.

Millwall are also unbeaten in their last four, all wins. The Lions have had seven wins and two draws in the 12 games since Neil Harris returned as manager in February.

A league-high 26 Millwall matches (57 per cent) have produced either one or two goals.

Prediction

Millwall sit rock bottom of the goals-per-game table, but this final match of the season is poised to go against the tide.

Harris’ first job when he was reappointed at The Den was to tighten up a defence which wasn’t performing well and using that stronger rearguard to hoist them clear of relegation danger.

They have achieved safety now and Millwall can enjoy their final-day run-out at the Swansea.com Stadium, where victory would enable them to leapfrog the Swans in the table.

They will be confident on the back of four straight wins though the Swans have also been in decent nick at the back end of the campaign with three wins – against lowly opponents, admittedly – before last week’s well-earned 2-2 draw at Norwich.

The Welsh side dominated possession at Carrow Road in a thrilling affair, made livelier by the fact that play-off chasers Norwich were desperate for the win.

Clearly the stakes on Saturday are down a notch though both clubs, given the form they are in, would love to finish on a high.

The last three meetings between these clubs over the past 18 months have produced 10 goals, so back them to bow out in a flurry of action.
