Leicester is one of six meetings taking place on Monday in what is a busy start to the week. There are eight races from the Leicestershire venue, with the opening race taking place at 1.00pm and the finale coming at 4.50pm.

Here are five horses to follow across the meeting.

1.00pm - Join Racing TV Now Fillies' Nursery Handicap (6f)

After a disappointing debut at Lingfield (7f), MEYDAN ROSE took a big step forward to get off the mark at the second attempt at Chepstow (6f). She was impressive inside the closing stages of the race and was well on top at the finish.

Richard Hughes' filly was unable to follow up with another success on her latest appearance at Lingfield (6f), finishing third of five runners. This is her debut in a nursery and looks a fair mark she has been handed which gives her a great chance of doubling her tally.

LiveScore Selection: Meydan Rose

1.30pm - British Stallion Studs EBF Kegworth Novice Stakes (7f)

A debut success went the way of MYTHICAL DANCER by a narrow margin at Thirsk (7f) earlier this month. The son of Shamardal got up just in time on the post to score by a head. He got off to a slow start in that race but once he settled, he went about his task well.

There should be much more to come from Charlie Appleby's colt. The yard is in excellent form at the moment and this horse looks good enough to concede weight to the rest of the field, keeping up his 100% record.

LiveScore Selection: Mythical Dancer

2.35pm - Breeders Backing Racing EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes (1m2f)

QUIET EVENING made a belated debut on the track last December when she finished second of nine on the AW at Lingfield (1m2f). The well-bred filly is now a four-year-old but remains very much unexposed.

If Saeed bin Suroor's filly is over the problems that have kept her out of action, she should have the class to win a race of this nature. Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy has been booked for the ride and the opposition don't look to be very strong.

Ginger Jam has won twice before on current mark

Nigel Tinkler's sprinter GINGER JAM prevailed for the second time this season on his latest outing at Bath (5f). The experienced six-year-old had the cheekpieces on his last start and the headgear remains on again.

The recent Bath winner has been raised 2lb up to a mark he has been successful off twice before so it should not cause him any problems.

LiveScore Selection: Ginger Jam

3.45pm - International Racing Club Handicap (6f)

With a record of 0-21 it would be easy to give up on WINNETKA, however, the gelding has gone close on all four of his last outings, including his latest effort when he was beaten by less than a length at Salisbury (1m).

Tony Carroll's runner will eventually get his first win and it could come in this class five handicap off this mark of 62.

LiveScore Selection: Winnetka
