David de Gea is looking for his next club after ending his 12-year spell at Manchester United.

The Spanish goalkeeper left Old Trafford upon the expiry of his Red Devils contract, with Inter Milan stopper Andre Onana poised to take his No1 shirt.

We look at the the 32-year-old's potential destinations.

Saudi Pro League

High-profile stars continue to flock to the Saudi Pro League and it would be no surprise to see De Gea become the latest to join the revolution.

The likes of Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr — all of whom are part-owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund — are able to blow European sides out of the water in terms of wages.

The ex-United custodian may feel a switch to the Gulf State is his final chance for a big payday.

Inter Milan

Should he opt to stay in European football, a spot as Inter's new No1 is poised to open up thanks to Onana — the man who is set to replace him at the Theatre of Dreams.

For all of the unconvincing moments with his feet in the final years at United, De Gea still boasted a reputation as one of England's finest shot-stoppers and Serie A football may suit his style better.

Given the Nerazzurri are set to bank a hefty fee from the Onana sale, landing the former Premier League winner for free could prove a shrewd bit of business.

Return to Spain

An emotional return to Spain would undoubtedly appeal, though a move back to Atletico Madrid seems off the cards with Jan Oblak still their undisputed first choice between the sticks.

Villarreal might prove an attractive alternative in LaLiga, with veteran stopper Pepe Reina, 40, close to retirement.

Valencia and Sevilla could also be in the lookout for a new keeper should respective No1s Giorgi Mamardashvili and Yassine Bounou get snapped up this summer.

Stay in the Premier League

Should the Spaniard make a surprise move to remain in England, Chelsea have been identified as the most likely option as doubts over compatriot Kepa Arrizabalaga remain.

Tottenham and Newcastle are also in the running, though a move to either would see De Gea compete against Guglielmo Vicario or Nick Pope.

A switch to a lower-ranked top-flight club might be De Gea's best chance of regular minutes in England.
