Leeds to win and over 2.5 goals

Leeds will look to strengthen their grip on top spot in the Championship table when they travel to struggling Watford on Good Friday.

The Whites moved to the top of the table on goal difference after beating Millwall 2-0 before the international break, while title rivals Leicester City played in the FA Cup, losing 4-2 to Chelsea.

Leicester have a game in hand and should soon return to the summit, but for now Leeds will be confident of maintaining their position, especially with Watford's dismal home record.

Team news

Watford centre-back Wesley Hoedt serves the second of his two-game ban on Friday, while right-back Jeremy Ngakia is out with a knee problem.

Forward Ken Sema is doubtful, while Jamal Lewis and Ryan Andrews will need to pass fitness tests to feature.

Leeds coach Daniel Farke is without Pascal Struijk for the rest of the season due to a groin problem, while Stuart Dallas remains a long-term injury absentee.

Connor Roberts and Junior Firpo face a race against time to prove their fitness, while Ilia Gruev and Wilfried Gnonto picked up knocks while on international duty.

The stats

Leeds ran out 3-0 winners when the two teams last met in September at Elland Road and they have won the last three meetings between the two clubs.

The Hornets ended a run of four matches without a victory when they beat Birmingham 1-0 before the international break, while Leeds have won three in a row without conceding in the second tier.

Watford's home form is the third-worst in the division, with Tom Cleverley's side winning just five of their 19 matches at home so far, while Leeds have collected 33 points on their travels, the fourth most in the division.

Prediction

Leeds have been the form team in the division since the turn of the year and they should have no problems overcoming Watford, who have very little to play for at this stage of the campaign.

Cleverley is just steadying the ship until the next permanent manager is named, but the Hornets have scored in four successive games at home.

There has been a minimum of two goals scored in 11 of Watford's last 12 at home, and Leeds, who have scored 29 goals on the road, should be on hand to capitalise.
