Everton are interested in signing Manchester United loanee Wout Weghorst this summer.

The Netherlands international joined the Red Devils last January from Burnley but made little impact at Old Trafford.

Weghorst failed to score a single Premier League goal for Erik ten Hag's side and only managed two strikes in 31 appearances overall.

As such, United are not looking to make his move permanent — but the Toffees are prepared to offer him a lifeline, according to talkSPORT.

Everton really struggled for goals in the English top flight in 2022-23, finding the back of the net just 34 times in their 38 matches.

And Dominic Calvert-Lewin's persistent injury issues, combined with Neal Maupay's poor form, mean Sean Dyche's relegation survivors need to bolster their forward line this summer.

Burnley will likely be eager to offload Weghorst, as he only managed to score two goals in 20 appearances for the Clarets before joining Besiktas on loan last year.

Tottenham want Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, 27, to replace Hugo Lloris, say the The Mirror, with the 36-year-old Frenchman set to leave the club this summer.

Marcus Rashford is not planning to leave United despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Sun. The striker is instead keen to put pen to paper on a lucrative new contract at Old Trafford.

Manchester City hope that winning the Treble will persuade star striker Erling Haaland to also sign a new deal and ignore interest from Real Madrid, report The Telegraph.
