There are 11 European Champinship qualifiers to look forward to on Saturday, which features Scotland’s tough trip to Norway and an interesting clash between Belgium and Austria in Brussels.

After scoring 10 goals without reply in their opening two qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg, Portugal put their unbeaten record on the line at home to Bosnia while Albania entertain Moldova.

Hungary have shown themselves to be one of the big improvers internationally in recent years and they should be hopeful of showcasing their talents with victory at Montenegro.

Hungary won their opening qualifier in March, easing to a routine 3-0 victory at home to Bulgaria, while Montenegro prevailed 1-0 in their first match at Bulgaria before losing 2-0 when hosting Serbia.

Marco Rossi’s side showed their capabilities when finishing second to Italy in Nations League Group A3, taking 10 points from a star-studded section that also featured England and Germany.

The visitors did the double over England in 2022, while taking four points from two meetings with the Germans, and that form is far more than Montenegro could be capable of.

Montenegro have won only two of their last 11 home internationals and this task looks a daunting one for them.

Saturday, 7.45pm

Moldova have drawn their opening two qualifiers with Faroe Islands and Czech Republic but they may be found wanting on the road in Albania.

These two clashed as recently as 2019 in Euro qualifying and Albania prevailed on both occasions, winning 2-0 at home and 4-0 away.

And having lost their opening qualifier 1-0 in Poland, Albania will be keen to hit back against a Moldova side that have failed to score in two of their last three internationals.

The hosts have been playing stronger opposition than this of late and should make the most of home advantage in Tirana.

Domenico Tedesco has made a great start to life as Belgium boss, winning two out of two, both of which were away.

Belgium have made an eye-catching start to life under Domenico Tedesco, who replaced Roberto Martínez as manager in February, winning his opening two games against Sweden and Germany.

The Red Devils looked good in their opening qualifier in March as Romelu Lukaku bagged a hat-trick in an emphatic 3-0 victory over the Swedes in Solna.

Lukaku was on target again only four days later as Belgium won a friendly 3-2 against Germany in Cologne, suggesting the change in the dugout may be no bad thing.

Austria have triumphed in their first two qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Estonia to take their winning run to four games.

However, they conceded in each of those wins and have lost four of their last six away games, which includes going down to Wales and Denmark.

Saturday, 7.45pm

Portugal could have barely made a stronger start to Euro 2024 qualifying following a 4-0 win over Liechtenstein and a 6-0 rout of Luxembourg.

More will be required against Bosnia but it should still be a fairly straightforward task for the Portuguese, who have lost only one of their last 25 European qualifiers at home.

Bosnia were beaten 2-0 at Slovakia in their opening away qualifier, meaning they have won only one of their last 14 international matches on the road, and this looks tougher.
