- Manchester United have won three of their last four games
- West Ham are winless in five matches since the turn of the year
- Recommended bet: Manchester United to win & both teams to score

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag looked to be under real pressure a few weeks ago but a run of three wins in four games has lifted the mood around Old Trafford.

The Red Devils may be able to continue their revival on Sunday when former boss David Mpyes brings his West Ham side to Manchester, as the visitors arrive in mixed form.

The Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth at home in midweek and are now winless in five, while they have struggled at Old Trafford in recent seasons as they have lost each of their last three at the venue.

Team news

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez made a first Premier League start since September in the 4-3 win over Wolves, but he received treatment towards the end of the game and may not be risked from the off again due to the quick turnaround.

Anthony Martial (groin), Mason Mount (calf) and Tyrell Malacia (knee) are definitely unavailable and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (leg) is also unlikely to feature. Victor Lindelof is a doubt with a groin issu e, but Sofyan Amrabat may be in contention after Morocco's Africa Cup of Nations exit.

West Ham are without  Michail Antonio (knee) and Lucas Paqueta (calf), while Said Benrahma serves the final game of his three-match ban.

Full-back Vladimir Coufal is available after a suspension of his own and Morocco international Nayef Aguerd could come back into contention.

The stats

Manchester United have won three of their last four games across all competitions, but they have also gone three matches without a clean sheet.

The Red Devils have conceded in seven of their last eight at Old Trafford.

West Ham have scored 18 goals in 11 Premier League away games this season, but they have lost on each of their last three trips to Old Trafford.

Prediction

Manchester United are still seeking some consistency but they have at least been picking up results and the midweek win at in-form Wolves suggests they are on the right track.

Ten Hag’s side remain fairly solid at home with three wins and just one defeat from their last five Premier League games at Old Trafford and they can make home advantage count against a West Ham side that are missing a few key men.

The visitors will probably be without creative force Lucas Paqueta for this one due to a calf injury, while the Red Devils’ injury problems are easing.

The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and youngster Kobbie Mainoo all impressed at Molineux and that has to be encouraging from a Manchester United viewpoint.

A home win should be expected here but West Ham can at least get on the scoresheet. The hosts have conceded in seven of their last eight games at Old Trafford and in each of their last three Premier League victories overall, while the Hammers are generally good for a goal on their travels as they have scored 18 goals in 11 league trips this season.
