Erik ten Hag is seemingly under more pressure after Manchester United's collapse at Wembley

- Manchester United have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last six games
- Sheffield United have netted in five of their last six games in the Premier League

Manchester United to win and both teams to score

Despite reaching the FA Cup final on Sunday, Manchester United have been criticised for their collapse against Coventry, but they should be able to bounce back and push Sheffield United closer to relegation on Wednesday evening.

The Red Devils stormed into a 3-0 lead at Wembley, only to concede three goals as they were forced into extra-time by the Sky Blues.

Victor Torp's effort late in extra-time was then ruled out for a marginal offside, allowing Erik ten Hag's men to eventually go through on penalties, but the manner of their collapse has been criticised throughout the footballing world.

Thankfully for Ten Hag and his players, they next face a Sheffield United team that is rooted to the foot of the Premier League table following a 4-1 defeat to Burnley.

Team news

United's injury problems at the back have yet to ease up, with Tyrell Malacia out for the season, while Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans and Willy Kamwala all expected to miss out.

Sofyan Amrabat, Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Anthony Martial are also expected to watch from the sidelines.

Blades boss Chris Wilder will hope Jack Robinson can return from an ankle issue, while Rhian Brewster is still a doubt with a hamstring problem.

Thomas Davies, George Baldock, and John Egan are not expected to return until May.

United are unbeaten in three games after Sunday's draw with Coventry, but they have failed to win any of their last four in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have kept only eight clean sheets in the Premier League this season, and only two of those have come since the turn of the year.

Sheffield United are winless in nine games, but they have scored in five of their last six matches.

The Blades are winless in four on their travels, while they have only won once on the road all season, and that victory came against relegation rivals Luton.

Prediction

Only Luton and Sheffield United have faced more shots in the Premier League than Manchester United, and Wilder's side should be able to find the back of the net this week.

However, the fact that the Blades have only won once on the road suggests they will ultimately fall short.

Ten Hag is under pressure, but the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho can drag the Red Devils over the line against the top-flight's bottom side as they try to finish in the top six this season.
