Frankie Dettori jumps for joy after winning on Inspiral

Inspiral continues to shine

Inspiral continued to enhance her reputation on Thursday by claiming a comfortable victory in the Cazoo May Hill Stakes at Doncaster.

The two-year-old, who had won her two previous outings, finished three and three-quarter lengths clear of Prosperous, while Rolling The Dice came home third.

The daughter of Frankel was already being tipped for next year's 1000 Guineas and a trip to Newmarket for the Fillies' Mile next month looks set to be her next test.

Cheveley Park's Richard Thompson said: "Having a wonderful filly like this, trained by Thady and John [Gosden] — these are the days we live for and dream about.

"She looks special. It's fantastic to come up here and see her win the May Hill.

"We've won the Fillies' Mile a couple of times [Red Bloom in 2003 and Nannina in 2005] and we've won the 1000 Guineas once [Russian Rhythm in 2003], but it was a few years ago.

"We'll go for the Fillies' Mile first anyway and see how we go."

Doyle delighted to pick up Doncaster ride

Aidan O'Brien has selected Hollie Doyle to ride Interpretation in the Cazoo St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday.

It is not the first time the jockey and trainer have linked up this year, working together at York as Doyle finished fourth in the Dante Stakes and third in the Yorkshire Oaks.

Interpretation is currently on a three-race winning streak and Doyle is relishing the opportunity to try and make it four on the bounce for the Galileo colt.

She said: "It's a great ride to pick up. He looks highly progressive and is unbeaten this year.

"It's my first ride in the Leger, and I'm really looking forward to it."

Elliott set to return

Trainer Gordon Elliott has registered his first five entries following a six-month ban for bringing the sport of horse racing into disrepute.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board handed out the suspension in March after an image of Elliott sitting on a dead horse was widely circulated on social media.

Elliott's ban came to an end on Thursday, and he is now free to continue business at his County Meath yard.

He has five possibilities at Punchestown and Oh Purple Reign could be his first runner back, while Captain Middleton, Both Alice Kitty, Royal Eagle and Gift Of Kings are contenders.
