Joleon Lescott has picked out his stars of Matchday 24 in the Premier League

This Premier League title race is the gift that keeps on giving with three genuine contenders all playing some fantastic football.

As always, I've picked out my five star performers from a thrilling Matchday 24. Read on to see who made the cut.

Erling Haaland

Manchester City were far from their best in their 2-0 win over Everton and I'm sure the Toffees were disappointed with the manner of their defeat after a solid effort.

But when you have players of Erling Haaland's quality, they only need half-chances and once he scores the first, the game opens up for him to use his pace and power.

I thought Jarrad Branthwaite had a really good game against him but as I said on commentary, his strong performance probably led to him thinking he could nick the ball off Haaland for the second goal.

He probably should've shown more patience but it's easy to say in hindsight.

You could see how determined the Norwegian was just looking at his face — he's a tough man to stop!

Cameron Archer

Cameron Archer probably hasn't been featuring as much as he'd like recently but he made a scoring return to Sheffield United's starting line-up in their huge 3-1 win at Luton.

His goal was a fantastic self-made strike, working hard to outrun the defender and keeping his composure with a really cool finish.

There are rumours Aston Villa have the option to buy Cameron back and when I ask myself if he could lead Villa's line, I think he probably could.

He's similar in style to Ollie Watkins in terms of working hard off the ball, possessing that explosive pace and having that calm head in front of goal.

Bruno Guimaraes

Bruno Guimaraes was the best player on the pitch during Newcastle's 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest and I think he's probably still a bit underrated as an all-round performer.

Whether the Brazilian is playing as a deep-lying midfielder or in a more advanced role, he has so much technical quality and his football IQ is extremely high.

Obviously he wants to be playing in the Champions League — but so do Newcastle. I think their ambitions are still aligned and he's got a huge role to play in getting them where they want to be.

If the club weren't showing ambition in the transfer market, he'd maybe feel a bit unsettled but I expect them to be kicking on again next season.

Declan Rice

Arsenal absolutely demolished West Ham and it was no surprise to see Declan Rice shining against his old club.

Rice has been outstanding on several occasions this term. I thought he was fantastic against Liverpool last week but this performance will get more plaudits because of the assists and his brilliant goal.

His technique has always been first class, which is why the Gunners have him taking set-pieces. If you were being picky, you'd probably say he should score more than he does.

He faced his England team-mate Kalvin Phillips here and though they complement each other's game so well, you'd have to say Declan is operating at a far higher level than Kalvin currently.

Andre Onana

I always believe when you're a goalkeeper or defender, being spoken about less is a good thing — and that's what we're seeing with Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana.

He had a really solid game in their 2-1 win at Aston Villa. I was really impressed by his calmness, which hasn't always been there for him in a United shirt.

From a defender's perspective, if they look behind them and see a flustered, excitable goalkeeper, it does put you on edge a bit.

Onana has showcased some impressive mental strength to come through that tough period and I think he's starting to show the world his quality now.
