The final international break of the year is over and football is back across Europe’s top leagues, with the action coming thick and fast across the weekend.

Joe Casey has picked out five goalscorers to watch out for across the continent.

Back Florian Wirtz to score at anytime @ 9/4

Bayer Leverkusen have been one of the most exciting teams to watch in Europe this season and a major reason for that has been the efforts of youngster Florian Wirtz.

The 20-year-old already has six goals in all competitions and impressed for Germany in the international break.

Leverkusen are top of the league and should be able to find a way through Werder Bremen’s defence and Wirtz could well be the man to do so.

Back Joelinton to score at anytime @ 5/1

Newcastle are suffering from a number of injury issues which means that either Anthony Gordon or Joelinton may be deployed as a central striker against Chelsea.

The Brazilian is yet to find the net this season but scored eight times in all competitions last term and has been knocking on the door this time around.

Joelinton is also strong in the air, an area which Chelsea can struggle with, so back Newcastle’s versatile star to get on the scoresheet in this clash.

Back Bryan Mbeumo to score at anytime @ 5/2

The absence of Ivan Toney has not been felt as keenly by Brentford due to the impressive performances of Bryan Mbeumo, who has already scored six times in the league.

The Cameroonian is also the Bees’ penalty taker and netted for his country in the international break, suggesting he could get on the scoresheet here.

Back Victor Osimhen to score at anytime @ 13/10

Despite his injury issues this season Victor Osimhen has still got a solid Serie A goalscoring record, netting six times in eight matches.

The Nigerian could return from a spell on the sidelines in this crucial clash against Atalanta and is fancied to find the net again on his comeback.

Back Artem Dovbyk to score at anytime @ 23/20

Girona have been the major surprise package in La Liga this season, going into the international break top of the table.

Artem Dovbyk has been a major part of that, netting seven times in 13 league games and the Ukrainian forward could well score again in Monday’s clash with Athletic Bilbao.
