Draw

Crystal Palace can pick up another valuable point in their quest for Premier League safety with a draw against West Ham at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles took a huge step towards survival with their superb 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield last week and while they are not yet mathematically safe, they are now 150/1 for relegation with LiveScore Bet and looking good to spend another season in the top flight.

The Hammers headed into the weekend matches in eighth place and still in the hunt for a top-six finish and while their European adventure ended with a 3-1 aggregate loss to Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, they gave a good account of themselves against the unbeaten Bundesliga leaders.

The teams' first meeting this season was a 1-1 draw and another close encounter looks likely.

Team news

Palace will be without Rob Holding, Cheick Doucoure, Sam Johnstone and Marc Guehi, while Matheus Franca and Chris Richards are doubtful.

Michael Olise and Jairo Riedewald returned to the squad for the Liverpool match after injuries.

West Ham's Lucas Paqueta and Emerson are available again after missing the Leverkusen game due to suspension and Jarrod Bowen's fitness will be assessed after he was close to missing that match through injury.

Nayef Aguerd, Dinos Mavropanos, Kalvin Phillips and Alphonse Areola are the Hammers' other injury concerns.

Crystal Palace have won only four of their 15 home games in the Premier League.

Both teams have scored in the last 13 meetings between these clubs.

West Ham have won just two of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Three of the Hammers' last seven games have ended 1-1.

There have been over 2.5 goals in 16 of West Ham's last 20 league away games.

The Eagles have scored first in eight of their last nine top-flight matches.

Prediction

Both these clubs should head into their latest London derby in high spirits and they may both go away from it happy with another point earned too.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner clearly has the Eagles heading in the right direction after they were in relegation danger earlier in the season and the combination of attacking verve and defensive grit they showed at Anfield should continue to stand them in good stead.

After playing Manchester City and Liverpool in their last two games — the Eagles took the lead against the champions in a 4-2 home defeat — this might look like an easier fixture for the home side, but they should be well aware that West Ham are 15 points ahead of them in the table and an extremely capable side too.

The Hammers went out of the Europa League against Leverkusen on Thursday but their performance over the two matches against the Bundesliga champions should have left them feeling good that they can mix it with the best teams in Europe.

David Moyes will be boosted by the return after suspension of Lucas Paqueta and Emerson, which helps to offset the fatigue of their midweek exertions.

West Ham also have a decent record on their trips to South London having lost only two of their last nine visits to Selhurst Park.

With Palace having won just four of their last 23 games and West Ham successful in only two of their last 10 outings, it may be beyond both teams to claim three points on Sunday and a draw looks a value bet.
