- Man City are unbeaten in their last 13 away games in all competitions
- Each of Brighton's last six games have featured under 3.5 goals
- Recommended bet: Man City to win and under 3.5 goals

FA Cup duties mean Manchester City have slipped down the standings in the Premier League but they will have two games in hand over Arsenal and Liverpool heading into Thursday night's affair with Brighton.

The title race is still very much in City's hands and it is at this stage of the season where they tend to reel off wins effortlessly.

But Brighton, who are established in the mid-table positions, can be a tough nut to crack and could make life difficult for the Citizens.

Team news

Evan Ferguson, Adam Webster, Billy Gilmour and James Milner are nearing a return for Brighton but will all likely miss out in this game.

Kaoru Mitoma, Solly March, Jack Hinshelwood, Tariq Lamptey, Pervis Estupinan and Julio Enciso are also sidelined for the Seagulls.

Erling Haaland will be unavailable for Man City due to a muscle issue, while Phil Foden is also a doubt after missing training on Tuesday.

The stats

Man City are on a 13-game unbeaten run away from home in all competitions, having last lost on the road against Aston Villa in the Premier League in December.

Brighton have failed to score only twice at home in the Premier League this season.

However, one or both teams have failed to score in seven of Brighton's last nine matches in all competitions.

Prediction

Man City have not lost in 29 games in all competitions since December's defeat to Aston Villa and that streak is unlikely to be snapped by Brighton.

The Citizens have also gone 13 matches unbeaten on the road in that run and they will be determined to maintain their upper hand in the Premier League title race.

The likely absences of both Haaland and Foden are not ideal but such is the depth of City's world-class squad, they should cope and get the job done.

That said, they were not at their best in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, having won thanks to an 84th-minute strike from Bernardo Silva after managing just three shots on target.

They also struggled to see off Real Madrid in the Champions League in the game before and they are unlikely to blow Brighton apart.

Having been one of the more top-heavy sides in the early stages of the Premier League season, Brighton's recent matches have been relatively low-scoring with each of their last six featuring fewer than four goals.

With that in mind, a low-scoring City win could be the way to go at the Amex Stadium.
