- Recommended bets:
- Lloyd Harris to beat Andrey Rublev
- Nicolas Jarry to beat Learner Tien
- Frances Tiafoe to beat Cameron Norrie
- Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to beat Ashlyn Krueger
- Sonay Kartal -4.5 games handicap vs Viktoriya Tomova
Day three of Wimbledon sees British amateur Oliver Tarvet taking on two-time and reigning singles champion Carlos Alcaraz, while in the women’s action 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu meets 2023 Wimbledon champ Marketa Vondrousova.
However, while Vondrousova may be playing well enough to thwart the Brit’s home Grand Slam chances for another year, there look to be better bets to be had elsewhere on the first day of second-round singles action.
Andrey Rublev vs Lloyd Harris
Andrey Rublev is seeded 14th for Wimbledon this year, but he has had injury issues in 2025 and his confidence has taken a knock.
Lloyd Harris played some excellent tennis a few years back and looked as if he might be a viable outsider for a fast-court Slam singles upset.
And after beating Zizou Bergs in four sets in his opener, the good days may be about to return for Harris, who looks big value to progress to the last 32.
Nicolas Jarry vs Learner Tien
Learner Tien is a hugely promising player, but the US teenager will do well to inflict punishment on Nicolas Jarry.
The Chilean is a big-serving giant of a man who should be well suited to conditions in the London Slam.
Jarry was superb in fighting back from two sets down to dump in-form Holger Rune out of Wimbledon on Monday and there could be more to come from the qualifier.
Cameron Norrie vs Frances Tiafoe
&w=707&quality=100)
Cameron Norrie has come in for early support for his clash with Frances Tiafoe, but the South African-born Briton has not been at his best in recent seasons so slight preference is for the American.
Norrie is a former Indian Wells Masters hero, but that was in 2021 and he has not been playing at that level for some time now.
Tiafoe is a consistent sort who is still learning and if Norrie is below his peak, he may be found out.
Ashlyn Krueger vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
Ashlyn Krueger is entering notebooks after posting some decent WTA Tour performances, but inexperience may count when she meets Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova for a place in round three.
Pavlyuchenkova is one of the best players not to have won a Grand Slam singles tournament and while time is running out for her, class ought to prevail in this last-64 encounter.
Viktoriya Tomova vs Sonay Kartal
Britain’s Sonay Kartal enjoyed a fine three-set victory over 2017 French Open heroine Jelena Ostapenko in round one and the London-born ace should have way too much for Viktoriya Tomova.
The Bulgarian progressed when Ons Jabeur retired early in the second set of their first-round match, but things are likely to get tougher for Tomova in round two and Kartal is fancied to triumph with room to spare.
