- England lead the three-match T20I series 1-0 after the first clash

Jos Buttler to be England's top runscorer

Harry Brook has taken to being appointed England's limited-overs captain like a duck to water and life could get even better for the skipper when his side face the West Indies in Bristol in the second T20 international.

England recorded a 21-run victory in the series opener at Chester-le-Street, extending Brook's perfect record since taking charge, to go with the 3-0 ODI series sweep of the Windies.

There is little time to pause for thought with the second contest taking place at the Seat Unique Stadium on Sunday afternoon and it looks difficult to oppose the hosts, who would wrap up the series with a victory.

Team news

England seamer Matthew Potts had a rough time in his T20I debut on Friday, finishing with figures of 2-48 from his four overs of which eight were wides, and he could be taken out of the firing line for Saqib Mahmood or Luke Wood.

Apart from that potential tweak in the bowling department, Brook is expected to stick with the rest of the starting XI from the Chester-le-Street success.

Visa issues mean options are limited for the West Indies to change things up in regards to the bowling, with Matthew Forde the only frontline bowler they have available to bring in.

Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon King could be drafted in to offer more firepower in the batting.

England's victory on Friday means they have won seven of their last nine T20I matches against the West Indies.

Liam Dawson ended with figures of 4-20 at Chester-le-Street, the best figures by an England left-arm spinner in T20Is.

Of the nine West Indies wickets that fell in the opening contest, seven came from England spinners.

The Windies have won only one of their last 10 completed games in this format.

Former England white-ball skipper Buttler hit a superb score of 96 on Friday, clearing the rope four times.

Prediction

England will have been slightly disappointed to make just 188-6 in the first T20I, but a solid bowling performance ensured they picked up the victory and another win looks likely for the hosts in Bristol.

Integral to that opening victory was ex-captain Buttler, who was called upon early at number three following the dismissal of Ben Duckett and took advantage of his time at the crease with a sensational 96.

The 34-year-old proved he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level and he can provide another reminder that he is not going anywhere with another destructive performance in Bristol.

Given that the boundaries are shorter at the Seat Unique Stadium, the West Indies bowlers could be in for a difficult afternoon if they do not make significant improvements in the short turnaround.

Even if the bowling attack does improve, it may still not be enough to stop Buttler, who scored 538 runs at average of 59.77 for Gujarat Titans in this season's IPL and has kept that form going for England.
