Weekend acca predictions: Five teams to follow across Europe

On Sunday, LaLiga leaders Girona entertain Sevilla, while there is an intriguing Bundesliga match on the cards on Saturday as Bayer Leverkusen clash with Leipzig.

Back Bayer Leverkusen to beat Leipzig @ 8/5

Bayer Leverkusen were the team to beat in the Bundesliga prior to the winter break and they picked up from where they left off in their opening game of 2024, beating Augsburg 1-0. 

That means Leverkusen have won 14 and drawn three of their 17 Bundesliga fixtures this campaign, netting 47 goals in the process. 

They are fierce opponents and look to have a great chance of beating fellow Champions League hopefuls Leipzig, who suffered a setback in their first match of the year, losing 1-0 to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Back Borussia Monchengladbach to beat Augsburg @ 4/5

It has been a frustrating season for Borussia Monchengladbach but the situation could be much worse if it were not for their performances at Borussia-Park. 

Four of Gladbach's five league triumphs this season have come on home soil and they can be a tough nut to crack on their own patch.

They started the year with a 3-1 home win over impressive an Stuttgart side and they can follow up by beating Augsburg, who lost 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen last time out.

Back Le Havre to beat Chateauroux @ 5/8

Le Havre have established themselves in the mid-table positions in France's Ligue 1 this season and they can also impress in the Coupe de France on Sunday when they take on third-tier side Chateauroux. 

Promoted from Ligue 2 last season, Le Havre have looked right at home in the top flight, winning five, drawing seven and losing only six of their 18 matches. 

In their first league encounter of the year, they took down Lyon 3-1 last Sunday and they should run out comfortable winners against the hosts, who are fighting relegation in the Championnat National.

Back Genoa to beat Salernitana @ 11/10

The situation in Serie A is looking bleak for Salernitana, who have lost 12 of their 20 fixtures, and are six points adrift of safety going into this weekend's matches. 

They are propping up the standings in Italy's top flight this term, having shipped 40 goals at an average of two per game. 

And they are worth opposing on Sunday when they host Genoa, who are unbeaten in their last five games, having taken points off Juventus, Inter and Bologna as part of that run.

Back Girona to beat Sevilla @ 4/6

It is a busy week for Girona, who follow Wednesday's Copa del Rey clash with Rayo Vallecano with a league game against Sevilla on Sunday. 

The league will be the priority for the Catalan club this term with 15 wins recorded in their opening 20 assignments. 

And while they were underwhelming in a 0-0 draw with Almeria last time out, they should get back to winning ways on their own turf against Sevilla, who are just above the drop zone with 10 losses to their name.
