- Warrington won 22-20 when these two last met in round four

Warrington to win by 1 to 12 points

There is a six-way tie at the top of Super League after 10 rounds and Warrington Wolves and Hull KR are part of that group vying for the cherished play-off places.

The top six teams are locked on 14 points in an intriguing situation and this is one of several key fixtures in round 11.

Warrington edged to victory over KR in round four and a similar outcome looks likely when the pair meet again on Thursday.

Team news

Warrington have a clean bill of health for the visit of Rovers, with Matty Ashton, James Harrison and Jordy Crowther all returning to the squad this week.

Oliver Gildart is the only confirmed absentee for Hull KR but Elliot Minchella and James Batchelor have been named in the squad despite leaving the action early in last week's win over St Helens.

The last four meetings have been settled by winning margins of just two, seven, two and eight points.

Warrington have won four of their five home matches this season, while KR have won two of four on the road.

Full-back Matt Dufty has bagged eight tries so far this season for the Wolves.

KR have won on two of their last three visits to Warrington.

Warrington are the leading scorers in Super League with 266 points from 10 matches.

Prediction

There is a congested look to things at the top of the Super League table but something will have to give this week when second-placed Warrington take on fourth-placed Hull KR at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday.

The pair are separated only on points difference and their meeting in round four was equally as tight with the Wolves running out 22-20 winners at Craven Park.

An air of inconsistency has set in since, but the Wolves are right where they want to be with the halfway stage of the season looming.

So too are Hull KR, and back-to-back wins over St Helens and Wigan Warriors show they are a force to be reckoned with once again this season. The Robins reached the play-off semi-finals last term and that looks well within their reach again in this campaign.

However, KR's best work is generally done on home soil and they have won just two of their four fixtures away from East Hull.

Their last road trip was a 36-6 hammering at top-six rivals Catalans Dragons and Warrington are some way short of top gear at the moment, with their last two home fixtures producing wins by 18 and two points over strugglers Hull FC and Leigh, so a close affair can be expected here.

The last four meetings have been settled by winning margins of just two, seven, two and eight points so backing a Warrington win by no more than 12 points at 7/4 with LiveScore Bet looks the best course of action for this mouthwatering encounter.
