Manchester City and Tottenham have reportedly been told they can sign Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic in January — but only if they pay £70million.

The Fiorentina hitman, 21, has been the subject of interest from a host of clubs after netting 10 times in 13 appearances this season, as well as a further four strikes for Serbia.

Vlahovic has refused the offer of a new contract with the Serie A side, opening the door for a move elsewhere.

And The Sun say he is one of the first big-name signings that new Spurs boss Antonio Conte wants in order to ease the pressure on star man Harry Kane.

City are also interested however after missing out on Kane over the summer, with the English champions still keen to bring a No9 to the Etihad.

The report suggests Fiorentina have named their price for their star striker as they look to cash in at a premium while they still can.

Vlahovic has also reportedly attracted interest from fellow Italian side Juventus — though it is stated that he would prefer a move to the Premier League.

Spurs’ rivals Arsenal reportedly made a move for him last week but Sky Italy say that the Serb knocked back the Gunners as he waits for other offers.

It is thought City will likely hold off on an approach while they wait on an update on their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

Despite that, they see Vlahovic as an exciting option should they fail to secure the Norwegian, who is being monitored by Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona among others.

Real Madrid are set to enter the race to sign Monaco and France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

Marca claim Los Blancos will rival Chelsea for the in-demand 21-year-old and see him as a future star.
