Real Madrid came from behind to extend their perfect start in LaLiga with a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad.

Spanish striker Joselu — tasked with replacing Karim Benzema — scored the winner for Los Blancos with a powerful header from Fran Garcia's cross in the 60th minute.

Ander Barrenetxea opened the scoring in the early stages for the visitors but after Federico Valverde levelled from the edge of the area early in the second half, it felt inevitable that Madrid would find a winner in front of their home faithful.

The result means Madrid maintain their two-point advantage over Barcelona at the summit of the table as they look to claim the title back from their age-old rivals.

Los Blancos will now get ready to begin their journey for a 15th Champions League crown against Bundesliga side Union Berlin on Wednesday.

After netting five times in his first four games for the Spanish giants, Jude Bellingham's incredible scoring run came to an end — his best opportunity came in the dying moments as he jumped to meet Brahim Diaz's cross but Alex Ramiro made a fantastic save.

However, the England star was a huge catalyst for Madrid making their way back into the game as he was full of energy and productivity after they had conceded early on.

Real Sociedad, who suffered their first defeat of the season, will also switch their focus to the Champions League now as they face the tricky test of last season's runners-up Inter Milan.
