Marc Skinner called on Manchester United not to let their levels drop until the end of the season after thumping Brighton 4-0.

Millie Turner, Nikita Parris, Lucia Garcia and Lisa Naalsund were all on target as the Women's Super League giants cruised into the FA Cup semi-finals.

United are 12 points behind WSL leaders Chelsea ahead of their clash with Bristol City next Sunday and Skinner is keen to build momentum.

He told the club's official website: "We're back in front of our fans next week.

"We've set the standard again and from now until the end of the season we need to be in that vein of form."

"We need to bring that energy, that commitment. And if we do that we know we can win games and win them comfortably."

United came into the game off the back of a disappointing draw with West Ham and defeat to Arsenal.

But they looked a different side today as they breezed past the Seagulls.

Skinner added: "We were totally dominant throughout the whole game. I'm really pleased with the players for their attitude and application.

"It was a really positive Manchester United performance. One of our best all season.

"We asked for a reaction after the last game and we got that. I'm really pleased for everyone."

Leicester are also in the hat for the semi-finals after a shock win over Liverpool.

Everton host Chelsea tomorrow before Manchester City travel to Tottenham in the other quarter-finals.
