World Matchplay Day 2 predictions: Three selections in Sunday acca
- Day two World Matchplay acca pays out at 11/1
- Over 11.5 180s in Ross Smith v Josh Rock
- Ryan Joyce to beat Stephen Bunting
- Krzysztof Ratajski to beat Dave Chisnall
There are eight cracking first-round World Matchplay contests on a stacked Sunday of sport and we have three selections for consideration.
Ross Smith and Josh Rock get the day's Winter Gardens action underway and that match harbours our first bet of the day.
Sunday, 12.15pm
Bet 1: Over 11.5 180s in Ross Smith v Josh Rock
Ross Smith and Josh Rock can serve up a treat in the opening contest of Sunday’s Blackpool action.
Smith is third on the list of the most proficient maximum hitters on the Pro Tour this season and Rock is not too far behind the Kent arrowsmith.
The duo have been serving up high-level performances on the European Tour and Players Championship events this term and they cannot be split in the match betting market.
A closely-fought contest will mean plenty of legs in this best-of-19 first-round tie and that is likely to lead to a flurry of 180s.
Smith and Rock met for the first time last month and they combined for nine maximums over the course of an 11-leg European Tour contest. The 180 line has been set at 11.5 at the Winter Gardens and that is likely to be eclipsed by the heavy-hitting duo.

Bet 2: Ryan Joyce to beat Stephen Bunting
Stephen Bunting is an excellent performer and the St Helens arrowsmith had his day in the PDC sun when winning the Masters in February. There is no doubting the class and ability of the Bullet, but a first-round tie against Ryan Joyce looks a little more difficult than the prices suggest.
Relentless is inside the top-20 Pro Tour averages this season and the Newcastle man registered numbers of 111.48 in a 6-1 hammering of Rock in the most recent Players Championship event.
Joyce has an extremely high ceiling, in terms of peak performance, and Relentless looks a bet to dodge the Bullet.

Bet 3: Krzysztof Ratajski to beat Dave Chisnall
Dave Chisnall has won only two matches in his last five visits to the World Matchplay and another early exit awaits against Krzysztof Ratajski.
The Polish Eagle is a former Winter Gardens semi-finals and there is no doubt that the 47-year-old has the game to trouble the sport’s top performers.
Ratajski has shown enough in recent floor events to suggest he can outrun his odds here.
