Day two of the Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Festival takes place on Friday and there is another packed eight-race offering from Scotland.

The feature contest is the Listed Arran Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies' Stakes at 3.10pm, with the action at Ayr on between 1.25pm-5.20pm.

Here is our race-by-race guide to day two of the prestigious meeting.

1.25pm - Virgin Bet Fillies' Nursery (7f)

This is very open but GREYCIOUS ANNA pulled a long way clear with the odds-on jolly at Redcar last month over this trip and saw her off comfortably late on.

On that evidence, an opening mark of 77 should be well within reach for Karl Burke's Havana Grey filly.

Claretina looked an unlucky second at Haydock a fortnight ago having been forced to wait for a gap and is a player from 2lb higher.

Racing Post Selection: Greycious Anna

2pm - EBF Nursery (6f)

Trainer Richard Fahey has won the previous two renewals of this contest and it could be three-in-a-row as RAMAZAN looks to hold valid claims under Oisin Orr.

A Beverley novice winner in May, he took out a soft-ground Haydock nursery on handicap bow in July and was anything but disgraced in a much more valuable contest at York's Ebor Festival last month, finishing fifth of 18.

Racing Post Selection: Ramazan

2.35pm - British EBF Stallions Harry Rosebery Stakes (Listed, 5f)

The best form belongs to Bolt Action, Roger Varian's charge having finished second in this grade at Ripon last time out.

He's a key player therefore, but preference is for Michael Bell's filly KERINDIA, who has thrice run well in Group-race company since a winning debut at Nottingham in July and is going to have no worries with the slight ease underfoot now.

Racing Post Selection: Kerindia

3.10pm - Arran Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies' Stakes (Fillies' & Mares' Listed, 5½f)

GALE FORCE MAYA made it three wins in her last five starts when pulling clear to win the Listed Garrowby Stakes at York earlier this month.

Ayr was immediately pinpointed by trainer Michael Dods afterwards, though he was quick to target this race over the Gold Cup itself on Saturday.

That clear thinking can be rewarded by a mare patently right on top of her game.

Racing Post Selection: Gale Force Maya

3.45pm - Virgin Bet Ayr Bronze Cup Handicap (6f)

A really tricky puzzle with 25 in contention for the Bronze Cup.

Keith Dalgleish's BELTANE passed the post first over 7f here in July but was demoted to second having given his rival a couple of bumps late on.

He was behind some of these since at Carlisle but, bar that demotion, he would be two from two from at Ayr and he has winning 6f form on soft ground.

This is only his fourth start following wind surgery and the lightly-raced three-year-old looks capable of better things back here.

Racing Post Selection: Beltane

4.20pm - Rems Group 'Justin Forbes' Handicap Division 1 (1m)

The Lucinda Russell-trained FLYLIKEANEAGLE has won three time in six starts since moving across from Ireland to join this yard and has posted figures of 123 at this track in that sequence.

He was done no favours over C&D last month, being carried right when leaving the starting stalls and forfeiting plenty ground in the process.

Another solid showing has followed on the all-weather at Newcastle over further and, down in distance, he should be a contender again.

Racing Post Selection: Flylikeaneagle

4.50pm - Rems Group 'Justin Forbes' Handicap Division 2 (1m)

Carlisle third Albegrey is shortlisted, alongside the likes of in-form Cobra Kai, but ENGLES ROCK is put forward.

She won over C&D on penultimate start and ran as well as might have been expected over shorter in one start since on the Tapeta at Newcastle.

She remains on a feasible mark and the return to this trip back on grass gives her every chance.

Racing Post Selection: Engles Rock
