Germany will host next summer's European Championship, which kicks off on June 14.

We take a look at the nations who have booked their place in the prestigious tournament's 17th edition.

Albania

Albania will compete at the European Championship for only the second time in their history following a nervy 1-1 draw with Moldova in their penultimate match.

An 87th-minute equaliser was not enough to prevent Sylvinho's side qualifying automatically at the expense of Poland, who drew with second-placed Czech Republic on the same night.

Austria

Marcel Sabitzer scored from the penalty spot to help Austria edge past Azerbaijan last month and secure a third successive European Championship appearance.

Ralf Rangnick took over last year after a stint at Manchester United and will be aiming to better their previous effort of reaching the last 16.

Belgium

Belgium will be appearing at their seventh European Championship after amassing 20 points from eight qualifiers — sealing passage with a 3-2 win in Austria last month.

Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Jan Vertonghen will provide key experience next summer, while manager Domenico Tedesco also has exciting youngsters to pick from in Jeremy Doku and Lois Openda.

Croatia

Croatia became the final team to automatically seal a spot at Euro 2024 by edging to a 1-0 win over Armenia to finish second in Group D.

Captain Luka Modric is set to feature in his ninth — and likely final — major tournament alongside an array of talent who have been an impressive force on the international stage.

Czech Republic

Czech Republic made heavy weather of qualifying from Group E but a 3-0 win over minnows Moldova in their final match eventually sealed their spot in Germany.

The 1996 runners-up had to settle for second place behind surprise package Albania with Jaroslav Silhavy stepping down as manager once the job was done.

Denmark

Semi-finalists at the last Euros, Denmark will be part of the action in Germany next summer after beating Slovenia 2-1 in their penultimate match and finishing top of Group H.

Joakim Maehle and Thomas Delaney were on target in the crucial win for the Danes, who famously won the tournament in 1992.

England

Jude Bellingham's starring performance helped England complete a 3-1 comeback win over Italy last month to clinch a place at Euro 2024.

The Three Lions fell short in the final at Euro 2020, losing on penalties to the Azzurri — and will want to go a step further in Germany in search of European glory.

France

France were formidable in qualifying, winning all of their first seven matches — including a 14-0 home triumph over Gibraltar.

Didier Deschamps' squad oozes talent in every department, with captain Kylian Mbappe the standout name and he will be desperate to guide Les Bleus to a first European Championship triumph since 2000.

Germany

Germany automatically qualify as hosts and will be eager to succeed after their group stage exit at last winter's World Cup.

Julian Nagelsmann is now the man in charge following Hansi Flick's departure in September and the new boss would be wise to build his team around Bayern Munich starlet Jamal Musiala.

Hungary

Hungary have qualified for their third consecutive European Championship after a 44-year absence from the competition.

A 2-2 draw at Bulgaria secured the Magyars' place at next summer's showpiece and with skipper Dominik Szoboszlai evolving into one of the world's best players at Liverpool, Marco Rossi's side could make a significant impact in Germany.

Italy

Holders Italy saw their qualification tilt go down to the wire but a nervy 0-0 draw against Ukraine in their final outing was enough to seal their spot.

England finished six points ahead of the Azzurri at the top of Group C and Luciano Spalletti's men will need to improve quickly if they are to defend their crown next summer.

Netherlands

Netherlands booked their place at Euro 2024 with a 1-0 home victory over the Republic of Ireland in their penultimate game in Group B.

The 1988 champions are led by Ronald Koeman and will be looking to improve on their last-16 exit in their most recent appearance on the continental stage.

Portugal were all-conquering in Group J, tasting victory in all 10 of their games and boasting a goal difference of plus 34.

Euro 2024 will likely be Cristiano Ronaldo's last major international tournament and he will be supported by the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Rafael Leao and Joao Felix.

Romania

Romania's place at the tournament was secured after going unbeaten in all 10 of their matches in Group I, boasting a robust defence that only conceded five goals.

Despite co-hosting games at Euro 2020, they did not qualify and exited at the group stage in 2016.

Scotland

Scotland will play at back-to-back European Championships for the first time since 1996 thanks to five wins from eight qualifiers — including a 2-0 victory over Spain last March.

And with the likes of Scott McTominay, John McGinn, Andrew Robertson and Kieran Tierney shining under Steve Clarke, fans will be cautiously optimistic.

Serbia

Serbia booked their ticket to Germany after drawing 2-2 at home to Bulgaria in their final qualifier.

Montenegro's 3-1 defeat to Hungary on the same evening ensured the likes of Dusan Tadic and Aleksandar Mitrovic will be on show at Euro 2024.

Slovakia

Slovakia secured their spot at Euro 2024 as Group J runners-up with a convincing 4-2 home victory over Iceland in their penultimate match, eventually finishing on 22 points.

Manager Francesco Calzona has some quality operators at his disposal, including Napoli lynchpin Stanislav Lobotka and Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Milan Skriniar — who captains the side.

Slovenia

There were jubilant scenes in Ljubljana when Benjamin Verbic's late strike against Kazakhstan made sure of Slovenia's spot at Euro 2024.

With in-demand Benjamin Sesko leading their line and the marvellous Jan Oblak between the sticks, Matjas Kek's men could surprise a few in Germany.

Spain

Spain's 1-0 victory in Norway last month secured their place at Euro 2024.

La Roja were semi-finalists at the last tournament and have an exciting core of young players, marshalled by experienced figures like Rodri and Dani Carvajal.

Switzerland

Switzerland qualified alongside Romania in Group I.

They enjoyed their best performance at the European Championship last time around, reaching the quarter-finals before being knocked out by Spain on penalties.

Turkiye

Turkiye were tipped as dark horses at the last Euros but faltered at the first hurdle, so they will be keen to give a better account of themselves after picking up 17 points from eight qualifying matches.

Manager Vincenzo Montella has some exciting talents available to him — none more so than 18-year-old midfielder Arda Guler, who joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in the summer.
