Chelsea are paying close attention to Gabriel Martinelli's contract situation at Arsenal.

The Brazilian is bound to the North London club until 2024 although there is a one-year extension included in his current deal.

Martinelli has been a regular for the league leaders this season, scoring three times in eight top-flight games.

One of his standout performances for the Gunners came against Chelsea in January 2020 — where he ran the length of the pitch, gliding past N'Golo Kante before slotting home.

And now the Blues are keeping an eye on his situation at Arsenal, with owner Todd Boehly ready to pounce on any potential deal, report The Daily Mail.

Boss Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on extending the 21-year-old's stay at the Emirates but no agreement has been struck yet.

The same can be said for star men Bukayo Saka and William Saliba who have both been key performers for Arteta.

Title challengers Manchester City are one club who have been linked to Saka, while Barcelona were monitoring Saliba before deciding to sign Jules Kounde in the summer.
