Premier League powerhouses Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are all tracking Monaco starlet Aurelien Tchouameni.

French international Tchouameni, 22, has picked up plenty of admirers around Europe for his effortlessly mature performances at the base of the Ligue 1 side’s midfield in recent seasons.

As a result, club chiefs are resigned to his summer departure with a fee of around £40million thought to be enough to make a deal happen.

Front of the queue remain Real Madrid, who are long-term admirers of Tchouameni and wish to partner him alongside fellow young Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga at the Bernabeu.

Marca suggest that the desired fee is no problem for Los Blancos — but the player himself is now said to be keen on a Premier League move.

Joining City or Liverpool would give Tchouameni the opportunity to immediately compete for domestic and continental glory in England.

However, it is the Red Devils who will believe they hold a trump card in the form of his national team-mate Paul Pogba.

While 29-year-old Pogba is still to commit his own future to Old Trafford, the potential acquisition of Les Bleus wonderkid Tchouameni would surely sweeten the deal for all parties.

Following last October’s Nations League final victory over Spain, the Manchester United man could hardly have been more complimentary of his midfield partner.

Pogba said: "It’s a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality.

"We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side."

Having made 83 appearances for Les Monegasques since the start of last term, the 6ft 2in destroyer has the physical traits to match his undoubted technical ability.

With Monaco hosting league leaders Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow lunchtime, Tchouameni has the opportunity to grow his reputation even further.
