Manchester City are ready to pounce for Borussia Dortmund talisman Jude Bellingham after his talks with Liverpool collapsed.

England ace Bellingham, 19, has been strongly linked with a return to his homeland this summer after another hugely impressive campaign in Germany.

Jurgen Klopp was thought to view Bellingham as the answer to the Reds' midfield woes but various sources last week reported that the Merseysiders are unwilling to pay Dortmund's nine-figure asking price.

Now, the Sunday Mirror say City have made their interest clear and would have no issues when it comes to the financial elements of a prospective agreement.

It is thought the English champions are currently waiting to hear back from Bellingham as to whether he wishes to work under their boss Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard is considered one of the game's finest ever tacticians but plays in a notoriously well-drilled system which requires discipline from all players, as well as employing a rotation policy.

Should Bellingham not be sold on that concept, Real Madrid remain a viable alternative destination.

Los Blancos are known admirers of the Stourbridge-born star but would likely have to sell several fringe players to fund a deal as things stand.

Football Insider say Brighton would entertain bids around the £60million mark for their World Cup-winning midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea keen.

Chelsea intend to promote Levi Colwill into their first-team squad next season when he returns from his loan spell at Brighton, according to The Independent

The Sun suggest Marcel Sabitzer's loan at Manchester United will only become permanent if Bayern Munich lower their £25m asking price.
